SHOOT-OUT ON WHISKEY ROW
26th & 27th July 08
Gunfighter Skit Competition
· Deadline for entry into the competition will be at 8:00 am
Saturday, July 26, 2008 "The National Day of the Cowboy"
· Entry Fee is $50.00; cash or checks at the time of entry
· You can pre-register through our mailing address, see below.
· There will be a group leaders meeting at 8:00 am at the PRSL
booth on Whiskey Row. Safety Rules and Regs will be discussed and
drawing for your number slot will be done.
· Categories being judges on with point from 1-20 for each
category, Plot, Dialog, Character portrayal, Overall
impression.
· All Safety rules will be reviewed at the Group leaders meeting
by our Safety Team.
· There will be a final competition on Sunday 29th, for the all
finalist.
· There will be our local police department at the event and all
State and Federal Laws will be attained to.
· Come join us for a fun-filled time and a great show.
Competition Rules & Regulations
1. All performers will remain in the performing area during their
team performances.
2. Points will be deducted for safety violations. There will be two
safety officers for skit performances.
3. Each group has 10-15 minutes to perform their respective skit,
with a 5 minute set-up.
4. Set-up time starts when the previous group clears the performances
area. Performance time will start by prearranged signal set by the
group meeting.
5. NO ALCOHOL will be consumed prior or during the competition.
6. No directly pointing of weapon at spectators. If an emergency arises
the key word that will be used will be agreed on at the group
meeting.
7. Minimum special effects will be used whereas the safety of the
spectators are given the highest priority. ALL special effects must
be approved by the Safety officers!
8. Safety will be first and foremost for all competition.
9. No performances outside the staged area due to City requirements!

We will have RV Spaces available on a first come first served bases at the
Rodeo grounds. $20.00 per night
We also have some interesting & new venders at this event.
We will be raffling off a period correct firearm (reproduction)
The National day of the Cowboy will have a booth at our show promoting this
National Holiday
We have invited Bob Boze Bell and True West Magazine to the event and
Marshall Trimble. Hope they can attend.
We have a lot of new activities and props, our new & improved Costume
Contest. Our judges will be costuming experts from the University, local
experts and our head Costume judge will be Melissa Ruffner, Famous Prescott
Historian. Time period for attire is 1870 - 1890
Our favorite Childrens Cowboy Games and awards will be back this year.
Our judges this year for the competition will be taken from the Theater for
Performing Arts, University of Arizona & Sharlot Hall.
So come out and join us in this great event and help us support Big brothers
& Big sisters.
