Proposal
Add an Ace Pilot ability to each faction allowing the ability to call a type of merchant vessel in order to sell parts to. This would function the same as the current pilot abilities. It would be on a timer (possibly) and allow a pilot to call it while underway in space.
Justification
There are times while flying and doing duty missions that your inventory becomes full mid duty and you cannot loot further during the duty without deleting items. With the implementation of the Hyperlane, there are times when you can encounter these unexpectedly. If your inventory is full or close to, you then have to land to sell off at the nearest vendor, launch again, re-initiate droid commands, and hope the hyperlane is still there.
Motivation
This would add a small quality of life improvement to space. It would allow pilots to stay on top of inventory management during longer sessions in space.
Add an Ace Pilot ability to each faction allowing the ability to call a type of merchant vessel in order to sell parts to.

Yeah, this is a no for me. You should have to land to refuel/rearm/repair. Adding another way for space folks to just stay up there and bring in more credits goes against the philosophy the Dev's have had for space in the past. They've consistently tried to bring the space economy inline with the ground, and allowing you to sit up there 100% of the time just farming would be opposite of their intent.

I agree with this being okay if there was a fee/fuel cost, but I think 10k per use is low, you fill the container/inventory and you potentially have a few hundred thousand credits in loot. Maybe 50k/use and you can sell 25 items at a time with an hour cooldown? So in those tight spots where you messed up on managing you can do it, but it's not enough for you to live up there.
