Proposal
Pretty much the title but I'll expand slightly.
1) Killing a Jedi as a Jedi should award a random Jedi Trophy, as it does with a normal player
2) Jedi should be able to add these trophies to the collection to complete it
3) If a player is a Jedi, the damage reduction bonus you get from completing the collections should be removed
Justification
As it stands, you can earn the "No Match for a Good Blaster" and "Making the Galaxy Safe Again" collections as a normie, then become a Jedi and still have the badges/completed collections. As this collection was introduced after there were already many Jedi, this proposal willf allow other Jedi to complete the collections if they wish to do so.
Motivation
Currently Jedi aren't able to earn or collect these trophies. Although this proposal would remove the bonus obtained from completing the collection, it would encourage some Jedi vs Jedi fights if they were to earn a trophy at the end of it.

Makes sense, I agree. The fact a normie can complete the collection and then grind Jedi and maintain the buff is too advantageous for pvp.

Upvote for me.

I always thought this was a lore issue. Taking trophies from another slain jedi is beneath a jedi.
You could probably make that argument about collecting any item as a Jedi because of the whole attachment thing. Surely at this stage it would be on an individual basis, you can still get married as a Jedi for instance, but you can choose not to. You could just choose not to collect the item (or even delete it as if you didn't pick it up) if that's your RP.

Though it might seem like a lore issue its important to remember that obi wan took anakins saber after mustafar.

Though this is the exception rather than the rule, I imagine this sort of thing is more of a case by case situation, where some may hold on to these items despite the jedi teachings.

I think its probably more of a lore break to have jedi display them as trophies, which there is nothing to prevent at all.

I think letting players do this is ultimately fine, it gives players more things to focus on and achieve over time and encourages jedi to fight more often, which is great given what we know so far for the frs system.

Yeah, I did consider Obi-Wan taking Anakin's LS. But I don't think it was as a trophy. I mean, let's be real, it was really just George Lucas back filling an explanation for why he had the saber to give to Luke. Apparently they even forgot to film that scene originally and had to go back and do it in post production.

At the end of the day, it's a minor change that I couldn't really care less about which way they go with this. I was just expressing that I always thought it was deliberate and not just an oversight.

Ah right, gotcha! Funny they forgot to film it for RotS though, definitely right to point it out!

well not all jedi are 'good', there are some dark jedi/siths etc too, the game calls them all jedi (at least at the moment) but not all of them play as that. There are a lot of jedi ive seen running around with red eyes and black cloaks shooting lightning and looking evil. My main character is a dark jedi. If i had a dark jedi title id display it lol.
