Commandos can no ttrain without one

Frustration !
You can get novice Commando a combat level 15 but all he weapons to train heavy weapons XP are far FAR higher combat Level , currently lvl 54 on the bazzar !. That is insane. we need a low combat level heavy weapon or you simple cannot advance as a commando. Make it a terrible weapon , low damage , misses all the time just let us earn a little xp to advance please.

Make sure to search the bazaar by player vendors for the whole galaxy, not just local or planet. You can also address any questions you have about the game in discord. Every combat profession has low CL weapons to train with.

Ive never leveled a commando. Does the legacy quest line give HW? I notice it always gave the options for all melee types plus pistols, carbine and rifles for range.

It does not. In the NGE, you could effectively level a commando using any ranged weapon so it wasn't included. There's definitely a few opportunities where it could give a HW.
