Proposal
I would propose that a colored line (single side border) or arrow on the placement interface could indicate the "front" or door side of a house.
Justification
This would make it easier to align with existing structures in a player city or to avoid placing the door into the side of a hill. That has happened recently with Mustafar Bunkers and it required the city mayor to pack the house up to be placed again.
Motivation
Placing certain houses has been fiddly for many players, especially newer ones unfamiliar with specific layouts. The wire frame overlay / floorplan when placing houses is also easily washed out by the green/red color of the placement interface.
This would simply be a QOL feature to make placing houses easier and more intuitive.

When you place a house, by default, the door will always start facing North, with maybe the spires being the exceptions? That being said, a visual indicator would not go amiss.

I think it's worth sponsoring as this is an issue frequently encountered.

We moved one house for a player 4 times in a row before he found the front the other day.

Upvoted. While I, SO FAR, have not ran into issues yet, I can definitely see this being an issue when using a house you're unfamiliar with, or when dealing with trees that obscure your view of the wireframe.

Nice QoL. While obvious on most structures, the lack of zoom out and the wire frame of some make it irritating to get right first time.

no brainer. dropping houses especially for new folks is way more challenging than it needs to be. Im also for making footprints smaller for better placement
