Announcing nominations for the 10th Restoration Galactic Senate!
We would like to invite you to self nominate for the next senate term, starting in September.
However, first things first; We would like to congratulate NTK on winning this terms senator superior medal of conduct!
Please have a look at: https://swgr.org/senate/ for more details on the senate.
If helping to guide the direction of the game, and be a go-between between the community and the staff, then maybe the senate is for you!
We have done some changes to how the senate operates, and the 10th senate will have the following seats;
Combat Senator: Represents the intricacies of overall combat balance and skill tree related issues. This senator will address combat balance from a multitude of perspectives, from PvP to PvE as well as non-fs & jedi.
Profession systems: Represents the needs of profession-specific content like Bounty Hunting, Slicing/Underworld, Creature handling/taming, Scouting, etc., whilst also representing the needs of Force Sensitive and Jedi players, the unlock process and visibility mechanics & Force Ranking System.
Content Senator: Represents all general ground PvE oriented playstyles, including endgame instances and loot systems as well as all general ground PvP oriented playstyles, including open world PvP, Battlefields, and Flashpoints & the needs of the Mercenaries, Rebellion and the Empire in the Galactic Civil War.
Player Experience Senator: Represents systems used to represent player experiences in game, including: PlayerVoice, Guilds, Cities, Social Professions, Events, Chronicler, New Player Experience etc.
Space Senator: Represents all JtL playstyles, such as space PvP, PvE, Ace Pilot systems, and Ship Parts.
Crafting Senator: Represents all Crafting playstyles, such as the Artisan professions, Bio-Engineering, Reverse Engineering, Resources, and the Player Economy.
In addition we will be taking nominations for envoys, so if you're unable to provide the time commitment for a senator seat, or you have a huge interest in a niche part of the game, we would encourage you to apply, these will be announced after the inauguration.
We plan on the following timelines (subject to change);
August 1 through August 14- Open Nominations Period, anyone can nominate themselves for a Senate or Envoy Seat
August 14 through August 23 - Campaign Week
August 23 - Senate Debate
August 23 (after debate) through September 4 - Voting
September 5 - Winners Announced
September 6 - Senate Inauguration and Tenth Galactic Senate Term begins
