Proposal
Add a /village command that displays the current Village phase. It'd save players from having to run to the Village just to check, and it'd also take one more thing off our amazing Albidum's plate (which is very much appreciated). I've seen other servers, like Infinity, have a similar feature, so hopefully it wouldn't be too difficult to implement. Alternatively, the current Village phase could simply be added to the end of the /check command.
Justification
This is a simple quality-of-life improvement that saves players time and reduces unnecessary travel. It also reduces reliance on manual phase updates from community members while making Village progression information more accessible to everyone.
Motivation
Players frequently need to know the current Village phase before deciding whether it's worth making the trip. Right now that usually means traveling there or checking community updates. Having the information available through a command would be faster, more convenient, and improve the overall player experience with minimal gameplay impact.

I would argue, it's not hard to check. You're going back & forth anyway with XP. However, I get that it would be nice not to travel all the way down.

I'll counter with a different idea to make bartenders mean something:

Your bartender could tell you the phase in the form of a rumor.

Phase 1: "I heard the Aurilian's have quite the mess to clean up."
Phase 2: "Rumor has it there is building going on at a certain village."
Phase 3: "Gossip around the city is about Aurillians building some sort of shield."
Phase 4: "Requests have been coming in for fighters and healers to help defend a village."

I really like this idea! I would need to find my bartender again. XD

I agree that it can be annoying to have to run out to the village to figure out which phase it is on, and I also understand that part of the story is that you are going to a little-known village of force users that is under siege. Knowledge about their situation would be very limited. Needing to either go there to see firsthand what is needed, talking to the person who first sent you there, or listen to the plans of local Patriots at the Dathomir outposts (adjusted dialogue based on phase?) would be how to get the info. This wouldn't be something broadcasted on the Holonet for all to know. I would upvote those options, not the /village option. That is the storyteller/RPer in me talking.

That's actually more what I was getting at. 😅 I'm already unlocked as a Jedi, so this isn't really about making the unlock easier. It's more of a quality-of-life thing for people like me with terrible ADHD.
For example, if I decide I want to swap a skill or go grind a different branch, I constantly forget what Village week we're on. That means I end up running back to the Village over and over just to check because I can't remember if it's Week 2, 3, or 4 until I hit the actual week that I need.
Being able to use something like /village, having it at the end of /check, or even asking your bartender would all solve that. I actually like the bartender idea ...I just honestly don't remember which bartender was mine anymore after unlocking. 😅 Once I got my shrine I didn't think it'd ever matter again.
So for me it's less about avoiding one trip and more about not making the same trip 150 times because my memory is awful until I get the week I need lol. 😂

I had another thought there could be a different more central option:
NPC downstairs in the Bestine Menagerie to tell you the phase of the village from the perspective of the Patriots.
