Removal of Docs from Med center Doorway

Removal of Docs from Med center Doorway
Proposal
I propose we move doctors to cantina's
Justification
This makes it easier for new players to receive entertainer and doc buffs in the same location. It will draw more people to the cantina
Motivation
This would streamline the new player experience. It would clear out the med doorway's
To streamline the buffing process

This is just moving the goal posts and not really going to accomplish anything as some players will always find ways to be offended by something and anything.
In this case im sure some players will complain that there are too many docs spamming ads inside the cantina , the solution of assigning a doctor to a med center bed seems the most logical in my opinion.

Since the surge of new players, there have already been entertainers in the entrance of the eisley cantina. This is definitely moving the goal post. I agree the issue needs addressed but I do not believe this is the way to do so.

Kinda does not belong there - You can already bring a droid for this if you want to buff in the cantina.
It will not only remove doctors from the med center doorway - it will essentially remove the need for med centers entirely.
Also just fills up the cantina with 20 afk doctors spamming a buffing macro.

Removing the docs from med center hallway, will require a different approach to how macroable doc buffing is.

I disagree.

However, i agree with the post above. We 100% should remove docs from the doorway of the med center. Its so stupid.

They already said they are working on a move/fix for the doctors. Moving them to the cantina would be terrible. The spam from them is bad enough already.

Remove from doorway? Yes. They should be INSIDE by the beds. But move to cantina? Heck no. Doctors need to be in med centers.

Personally I would favor removing all the doc bots away or thin them across the galaxy, so I I would not need to play with my ignore list over and over again whenever new doctor pops in.
But I'm glad that the cure against their plague is worked on. Its already a good idea that they would be moved and limited inside the medbay, where whoever needing a kiss for their hurt knee can find then, instead of them shouting outside right next to the spaceport.

And absolute downvote for moving them into cantina. That's territory for the entertainers and public social roleplay to chill. :)

Like what most others have said, having the doctors be in the cantina would make it harder for people to use chat there and ents see tells, therefore Im not for it. Also, as a new player, I dont really care about them being in the doorway, its not like they block me from being able to enter the building, the only issue I have seen is that some new players dont understand they are afk and try to talk to them and obv dont receive answers, however that is a whole other can of worms not meant to be opened in this pv.

Lets be honest the requirement to be in a hospital never worked as they intended... Cantinas with entertainers did work out amazingly but hospitals did not... Just let the droid buff work wherever... Med centers have no in-game social relevance at all....

But that's mostly because the "requirement" is only theoretical if you have a droid available for cheap that allows you to completely bypass it.
Also because by design you gonna spend 5 minutes in the cantina - in the med center you walk in, get fixed up by a afk bot and walk out

Initially Docs were not as common...they buffed in Starports regardless... Med centers only ever had a place for newer players to heal wound damage and it was extremely slow. Doctors hanging out in the med center healing/buffing with groups of players making the hospital a social environment (assuming this was the goal) did not work out... I see no reason to force a connection to the Med center unless they plan to revamp the entire system to make med centers have true (social) value instead of erroneous requirements. in the interim just remove the Med center connection all together.

Docs were not as common on live because people could only have 1 character per account.

I literally always go inside to see if there are any Docs inside because they are all in the doorway. If there is a Doc inside ... he gets my business. If there are none, I go to a Doc furthest from the entrance.

Keep doctors in med centers/hospitals but require buffing to happen inside the main room or near the beds/cots, not in the doorway or outside. Adding a simple way for players to see which doctors are available, instead of relying on constant chat ads, would clean things up a lot and make it easier for new players to get buffs quickly. A terminal to show who's offering what services, and their suggested tipping price. I still think you should have to lay on a medical bed to receive treatment, just like how you have to "watch" an entertainer, you'd need to "lay down" and be scanned to receive buffs. But that's just opinion.

All for adding gameplay loops to doctor.

I thought the idea of a doctor having to register to rent a bed to give out buffs, there are like 12 beds inside the hospital
I like this... Ideas that make Docs curing wounds and buffing in the Med center as a social environment was the original goal I would think. Go to the Med center and hang out, get patched up, then go get a drink in the cantina... Unpopular opinion but the Auto invite/ buffing Macro probably needs to be disabled... The click buff macro is fine... just the automated buffing is not cool.
