Important notes:
You cannot gain than one rank per week if you are Major and above
You cannot rank above Major if you do not select a GCW zone to defend using a War Intelpad or a War Terminal
You may also be prevented from ranking above Major if someone else chooses to defend the same zone and gets more GCW points than you that week
You may be demoted to Major if your faction does not control your defended region at the GCW update time
If you lose your rank as a Senior Officer, you will always be demoted all the way to Major
