Appearance change for ship equipment, primarily weapons.

Proposal
Add a system to change the appearance of ship equipment(or even just weapons firing style) to any chosen appearance via a token or some other means, image designer-like system would be best, that a SW does.
Justification
It is quite jarring to be forced out of necessity to use a weapon that fires in a style you do not like, or to use equipment you think makes your ship ugly. This would drastically improve this. There are many ways it could be implemented that I will leave to further deliberation, but any means to do so would be welcome.
Motivation
I am quite bothered by how my weapon firing looks and feels and the weapon I have is not easily replaceable. In general this issue permeates all ship equipment and I am quite certain many have faced this dilemma. Other servers have fixed this issue through their own systems, for example, in legends you can do this via a token that is earnable via space.
The fact is that the appearance of a weapon firing can be a huge factor in fun as well as comfortability(with aim for example). Legends possesses a system that is fantastic where you can spend tokens to change the appearance of any piece of ship equipment and I definitely support having this added here. I have a weapon rn that is very hard to get for example, but it is lightning ball. I can barely aim with lightning ball it feels and the sound and look of it make my ears and eyes bleed respectively. It is a major bummer. Please consider a system like this.

Edit: Upon further thought, I was thinking it could be cool if shipwrights received some kind of image designer function similar to an entertainer, or that they are the ones who craft the item that allows this or something, adding more content to engage with.

I feel that this is one of those things where, sure, it would be cool, but isn't beneficial in the long run. I absolutely will start a project to achieve a desired appearance. I've had a pretty good RE'd sub 23k mass W8 that I screwed up and gave the wrong blaster graphic (bugged the shit out of me) which can also change the position of the weapon on some ships. Going through the process of making one to match I ended up getting enough parts to make two better weapons than I had. Sure, it took some time, but it was worth it. Point is, if I were given the option to just change on the fly, I might not even have bothered, missing out on potentially better weapons.
