Jedi Tank - Aggro Management

Proposal
Add Advanced Dominate Mind to Master Force Defender which adds AOE to the taunt for mobs within weapon range.

Add Improved Saber Hit (Balanced) to Lightsaber Master which is a low damage AOE attack with moderate aggro generation, alternatively increase aggro generation to Saber Dervish.
Justification
Aggro management as a tank is crucial to their role and Jedi should have an AOE taunt in toolkit.
Motivation
Feels bad when you can't get multiple mobs off party members fast enough and they incap or die.
Game has always had bad aggro management, would like to see improvements for non-Jedi tanks as well.
 
I don't know how to do it, and "drag player" is like it...

But Threat generation tools have always been off-GCD.

The numbers just seem way too weak to be an ability that takes one.
 
I agree, theat generation from a "Tank" perspective is a little weak. Heal agro is real but It would be nice to have both Jedi and normie professions have a Mass threat generator...at least in a Master box level.. Upvoted
 
Force Scream is an AOE DOT (Bleed by SWG Standard) that builds threat. May be a cool thing to add, don't know the Jedi Version of it.

Doesnt Master Lancer have a AoE Taunt?

I thought the system was set up that you dont neccesarily need Jedi to run heroics? So you can adjust the group composition according to the instance you are running?

No one mentioned heroics. But I do guess its a fair assumption being the only group PvE a jedi would do.

I like the idea for pulling in the tulrus when you need to get the 1m xp back lol

Never said anything about heroics.

Why would I put skill points as a Jedi into Lancer? We already have Combat Medic and Doctor, why have Force Healer then? Jedi have a tank class without a full kit, heroics or not.
 
Exactly! No class has "a full kit", thats the beauty of it.
A non-Jedi spec can have a full kit.

A Jedi spec cannot have a full kit. There exists a non-Jedi AoE taunt there is no Jedi AoE taunt.

Furthermore I split it up between two classes not just one.

This is like how you take both TKM and MLancer for a full tank kit. Take MLS and MDef for a full tank kit.

Nothing I suggested increases power for a Jedi. It only adds a small amount of QoL utility.

Master Healer Jedi brings battle meditation, with the heroic set they can increase your max health by 900 points, and their Radiant/Luminous Heal thing (or whatever it's called) is a ranged AOE heal so they are functionally quite different.

My point was him telling me non-Jedi can do it so Jedi don’t have to isn’t a very good argument. In your example Force Healer is in a better position with MORE to add to the group comp while a Jedi tank is LESS equipped by comparison.
