- I propose that overt token/GCW payout is not available to players who are not overt at the time of the capital ship destruction (or within a few seconds) and within 4k m of the space battle.
- Justification
- Overt token payouts are double normal payouts due to the risk of being attacked by other players during the space battle. Overt space battle should generate more player vs player encounters. But often times, people just tag the capital ship, then go hide in the corner of the zone afk. AFK players can still receive full overt token/gcw payout after being destroyed and sitting on leave/afk anywhere in the zone.
- Motivation
- PVP space battles would hopefully see more intended PVP encounters. It would require the separate factions to actually engage one and other on a regular basis in space. I think this would make overt space battles the space flashpoint they were meant to be.
Prevent SF Token payout to players who are not pvp flagged at the time of capital ship destruction (or within a few seconds) and within 4k m of the PVP space battle. As it is now, players can tag the capital ship, then go hide afk in the corner of the zone and collect full GCW/Token payout. Even if they are found and destroyed, as long as they remain in the system, they can still collect full gcw/token payout. Or, once they are destroyed, they can come back on leave and just continue to kill the capital ship/fighters with zero threat of PVP, while still collecting full overt gcw/token payout. I think this defeats the purpose of the PVP space battles. If people want to farm easy gcw and tokens without pvp threat, they can stick to the PVE space battles.
