Proposal
Introduce a tool capable of identifying current prices on bazaar and vendor search on items in your inventory. Tool should be limited to Master Merchant. Tool should be able to livescan the bazaar and global vendor listings for the current top 5 lowest prices on all items in the players inventory. It should only give prices , no ability to get waypoints to the other locations of sale or other information.
Justification
Allow master merchants a greater connection to the galaxy-wide bazaar network and trading, by feeding them "live" prices on all objects.
Motivation
Adds reason to maintain Master merchant after having placed vendors, and adds immersion by having the merchant able to appraise items everywhere.
Introduce a tool capable of identifying current prices on bazaar and vendor search on items in your inventory (and possible trade window too). Tool should be limited to Master Merchant. The tool could be obtained through a collection or quest like some of the items for other elite artisan professions (RE bracelets, Armor schematics, etc).

The tool:
Able to livescan the bazaar and global vendor listings for the current top 5 lowest prices on all items in the players inventory. It should only give prices , no ability to get waypoints to the other locations of sale or other information.

Reason:
As a merchant, competetive pricing of your goods is paramount. Currently the work around is having an alt at a bazaar looking everything up. This tool will make it more immersive having datapad access to the market listings, while not being a substitute for the bazaar terminals when wanting to buy something.

Really like this idea. I hate having to fill my bag and make runs to a city to look up prices, then having to use in game note or write things on paper so I can list new items. I do this at least once a month to make sure my pricing stays up to date. This would be such a huge QOL add! Upvoted!

Apart from the specific MM stuff, which I like, a city terminal to check prices without the additional functionality described here would also be nice.

Big fan of this. Or have it plug into the merchant's vendor? Though I think the Tool option is the most straightforward. It would give MMs the ability to better use the market, avoiding clear outliers, and an in-game way to *know* if you have a valuable good to sell, instead of relying on being up to date in the discord trade channels.

It might have to be in the form of a Droid Interface Device. Place the item in a container, scan, and the results appear. Include stats like Scarcity (how many items available), avg price, maybe avg quantity for items that stack?

Or it could be an inherent ability for MM - like the starfighter stat comparisons within the object itself, or limited to the Sell window of a vendor.
