GCW Vendor Addition
This idea/suggestion is Open. You can respond to ask questions or discuss the idea and either vote it up or down if you believe it should or should not be implemented, respectively. Popular suggestions and ideas will be considered by the development team to become reality in-game.
Proposal
Add non-heroic weapon/armor item(s?) to the GCW vendor. My suggestion is weapon decrepits, however any item would be a welcome addition. We should not add augments or anything that drops from heroic encounters to the GCW vendor because that would devalue the content.

I am not including a specific price because that is up for debate. At minimum, a player should be able to maintain their weapons through decay. At most, a player should be able to make some profit by selling them.
Justification
Many weapon/armor items are primarily gathered from solo PVE content which is often a time-limited spawn. An alternative to obtaining these items would be nice.
Motivation
To encourage exchanges between communities without devaluing content.

But if you put anything that is an rng drop on any vendor it is no longer an rng drop. I am one that thinks pvp should have things on the vendors that are pvp oriented. New things and a variety of things. PvP already got the 2 Jedi crystals. The pvp tokens for gcw and battlefields need revamped totally as they are way to easy to get. I say no because it is a slippery slope and eventually you get to hey why not just make 1 type of token and put everything on a vendor. Little by little you end there without realizing it.
Its always RNG when the number is randomly generated
 
Forgive me, I am not running heroics or end-game content, so I dont understand the underlying problem. Could someone explain it to me like im a 3 year old or a Golden Retriever?
Is it about weapon components like Weapon Augmentation, Weapon Enhancements, Weapon Decrepits that have a value (like +240 Health)?
 
Defo needs something more as Stormlord every 10 minutes is annoying if there is more than one person trying to farm it.

I agree not gcw tokens, bf could work.

Imo just dump a load of storm lord level zealots around musty so there isn't just one good place to get them.

Then you keep the pve grinder market
 
Why is this community so against people earning items from playing the game in a way they enjoy the most? Is it a "i had to suffer so you should too?" mentality? Is it just being against PVP?

Why does the game have to be farm fest?

I support this PV because playing a game should be as fun as possible, not farming and grinding for a significant portion of the time you can spend playing

It is not antithetical to MMO game design and certainly not antithetical to sandbox design. You are by design meant to slog through a pile of crap in this game to get good drops. You’re also supposed to be able to do it AFK which would be comparable to GCW token generation, however we decided that afk farming is not allowed here.

Just take the W and go for battlefield tokens it really isn’t that big of a deal. Make em cost like a token or two each or something.

Are you new? Oh wait no you are right, no one has BF tokens, they are very very rare and you should pay at least 50 million for 100.

But by this logic there really should only be tokens and one vendor for everything so people can earn "items from playing the game in a way they enjoy most".
 
I think the issue is mainly how do you fairly do something like this? If it costs X amount of heroic tokens or X amount of time in whatever how do you decide how to convert that to GCW tokens? And let's be honest the pvp crowd does not do itself any favors with as much complaining about gcw, pvp, ducks, life, gcw and pvp exploits, gcw farming etc. So that makes people even less willing to consider it. Come up with a fair way to make this happen and fine. Then you have to only deal with the pvp haters.

Just started a couple months ago. And yeah, that type of taking advantage is exactly why this economy is so borked beyond any sort of redemption. The fact you're so against things meant to assist the average player speaks volumes.

LOL ok. Seems your sarcasm detector is on the fritz. The economy on Resto is borked? Have you been on any of the other servers? The economy here is actually done quite well so far. If you take the time to read my last post you see I am not against "things meant to assist the average player". I am for things that are fair and balanced as they can be for folks no matter how they like to play. If anything you seem to be more that way with your support of credit decay, worst idea ever.

I'll admit I've played on quite a bit of the servers and some of them are pretty rough economy-wise... (best server economy I've seen yet is on Utopia where you get EVERYTHING including Mando armor dirt cheap and the mission terminals provide 100-200-300k missions), but I still believe everything on this server is drastically overpriced. Some things dramatically so. Take it from a guy who grinds his credits up doing 30k faction missions at ToX City and doesn't have more connections than Tony Montana to get hooked up like A LOT of people.

you have a very skewered view of a good economy , sounds like this Utopia server is made for players who want to get everything with very minimal effort
as far as you thinking everything is overpriced here , that statement is just nonsense , the price of food has been the same since i started playing this server about 2 yrs ago
a health cap armor is around 4-5m give or take depending who sells it , again the price has been constant , the issue here it seems is not about prices , its about you have no idea how to make credits or you don't like to put time effort to earn credits , which by the way is not hard , i just made a cool 5m by harvesting milk and selling it , at this point i would like for Aconite to post something regarding the state of the economy for the server, so the nonsense of everything being overpriced can be put to rest already

It is easy to find spin groups if that is your thing and no need for connections as you put it. But I guess Resto can't be everything to everyone but the economy here is just fine.
