- Proposal
- Characters should have some kind of reduced number of variables, or even 'share' an Inciting Incident from another character on the account. In essence this means that people who haven't incited yet have a higher chance to incite, which then reduces for the next time as they achieve their first incident.
This doesn't take away any 'immersion' from the system as you don't know your assigned incite anyway so it isn't spoiling anything about the way it works currently, only that it helps you in your first incident so that you can access unique content on at least one character on the account.
- Justification
- People who haven't incited yet find it very frustrating that they cannot get it to trigger. It's a very RNG system and it needs some adjustments, especially before the village is released and people get FOMO and even further frustration from not being able to access content that is unique to Restoration.
- Motivation
- It is a problem, especially for people who play in friend groups. It is pretty bad if half of a friend group that often play together can do the village content and half cannot due to not having an inciting incident.
If there is content within the village that requires full groups, then by limiting the amount of people that can get in there is only a bad thing, particularly in phases of downtime with the server active player numbers between content updates and patches - which may become a problem in multiple time zones.
