Proposal
i suggest that tamed pet from the wild grow to the size they are in the wild.
BE'd pets could possibly have a slider to adjust there size during the incubation process or during the egg hatching process to customize them for the owner.
or just make BE'd pets the same size as the pet being cloned.
OR
Pet Size - giving size management control to the CH:
• Revert natural sizes to same as NGE system (larger become smaller)
• Revert the shock collar to its original effect: make pets larger
• Make the shock collar tradeable. It was previously "decreed" here that group content loot should be tradable: https://discord.com/channels/109347519493914624/929448441489272953/1045489507362943096
• Implement the Kashyyykian Beast Muzzle: makes pets smaller, which was custom added to shock collar on resto. This was a TCG loot card item. Would ideally be same difficulty to obtain as shock collar and tradable.
Justification
there would be a more diverse choice of pets to use. BE's would be able to sell more variety of pets
and costomize the size if wanted.
Motivation
the most asked question i get is "what pets are the smallest" or " what pets don't grow to Ginormous size? i will take one of those"
the problem is the pets are very large and get in the way of targeting and other activity's especially in group combat . some take up the whole screen. many people would like to have a Corellian sand panther but it is the size of a small house when grown so it cant be used effectively in a group setting.
pet, tamed and BE'd are very large for some reason. It was not always like that, they used to be the size of the wild version.

Ive been having this same problem, the idea I had was to make an Alice in wonderland style eat me drink me food that could given to pets to shrink them to group size and then back again when its over.

there is actually a necklace for that. you get it from the zombie rancor in quarantine zone on dath. but it only lasts for so long.

A solution that could meet in the middle for everyone:

-Revert all creature sizes to the sizes they’re intended to be for the NGE Beast Mastery system, which is the pet system used on restoration. This will cause all larger pets (rancor, kimo, etc) to be much smaller at max level, and put back the oversized to their original (for example: jax, kima, kliknik, eopie).

-remove the “Kashyyykian beast muzzle” effect from the shock collar and restore the shock collar to its original buff: make pets larger

-implement the Kashyyykian beast muzzle through in-game reward or loot drop, etc.
This was a TCG item that made pets tiny, which is what they made the shock collar do on restoration since they made all pets larger.

I agree with this. Having a bolma as a pet in a fight is difficult as the animal stands so close and is so large that you can't see anything but the pet. Please make them normal sized. Also add a follow distance short, medium or long, so the larger ones stay back as you move.

The pets I like to use most are already reasonably sized but it would definitely be way cooler if the nexu, for example, was the same size as the original the dna came from. I like them smaller for a lot of reasons.

Just make them all the same size as the model they come from...

Another cool option would be add a "Resize Pet" function to the beastmaster trainer npc. Choose large, medium or small, cost 10k or something reasonable. Then everyone could have whatever they want. Make "medium" the size of the original creature model.

I mentioned outside PV at one point, but I feel like it would be easy on the radial of a pet, similar to how you freeze XP - that you can freeze growth...so if you want a lvl 80 the size of a baby..freeze growth immediately. If you like the size when the pet is a lvl 40, freeze it there.

Now I'm seeing a fanned rawl that you can't even see, or my reek that is so small, compared to the 80 reek that takes up entire hallways in DWB.

I think it should truly be controlled by the BE somehow during the process. Who really wants a tiny Krayt Dragon? haha

This suggestion is great.

I also would love it if pets were the original sizes again.

The drop rate is terrible
like everything else :D

This is why I have an Uwari Beetle. I wouldn't mind being able to have some other creature that met my first criteria of not stopping me seeing in a dungeon.

I'd prefer smaller pets. Oversized pets when you're doing group stuff is just annoying. Can only see your pets giant butt when Im trying to see who needs healing.

The choice of making pets larger on resto needs another look. The below is hopefully a simple suggestion to give the Creature Handler the closest possibility to full size management and the items to make this possible already exist.

Pet Size - giving size management control to the CH:
• Revert natural sizes to same as NGE system (larger become smaller)
• Revert the shock collar to its original effect: make pets larger
• Make the shock collar tradeable. It was previously "decreed" here that group content loot should be tradeable: https://discord.com/channels/109347519493914624/929448441489272953/1045489507362943096
• Implement the Kashyyykian Beast Muzzle: makes pets smaller, which was custom added to shock collar on resto. This was a TCG loot card item. Would ideally be same difficulty to obtain as shock collar and tradeable.

Was just looking to post a PV for exactly this, definitely could use a good look at changing the size of most of the CH pets currently.

Thanks for your feedback, all!

An update on our direction here:

We’re going to add some functionality to bio-engineer to rescale pets within a specific range, sort of like image designing your pets. There will be a system around it we haven’t fully designed, but we intend to allow a mechanism for scaling pet size.
