Proposal
To be able to stack all the same power, power bits of the same order as well as modifier bits.
Justification
Almost all of the loot used to make modifier bits is stackable but that takes up a huge amount of space, so when you add the junk loot power bits and modifier bits it takes up a ton of space and it is easy to get disorganized without having to take up more space with bags or cabinets.
Motivation
It would help RE's by taking up less inventory space and clutter, as well as motivate more people to do RE'ing instead of just selling all the junk armor to the junk loot dealer.
I beleive the whole of the community would be able to benefit by this considering it would help with sales and more SEA's be available to more of the player base instead of just the most wealthy players.

I'm not in game right now since the server is down for maintenance, but doesn't each bit have it's own unique serial number? I don't think you can stack items of different SN.

There is no need for them to have serial numbers considering you cannot factory run them, so they could just take the serial off and that problem would be solved.

Right, there is a SN. You can't stack things with SN. To remove the SN you'd have to make each modifier/power a separate class with no attributes, but that seems to make sense and be worth it. For Power bits at least if both is too much.

Have any of the Devs read this and if so could this actually happen or is it to involved to be implemented in the near future or like aconite says SoonTM

Just making them so they stack would not do much and would not get more people to do RE because they would still actually have to do it

Woudn't this mean you'd have to create a new modifier bit every time you attempt to raise power bit strength, or if you had a big stack of modifier bits unstack one for each attempt? Either way would appear to be less efficient for leveling power bits than the current system.

I can create 49 modifier bits and 49 unsocketed items to fill my inventory in about a minute now. Creating new modifier bits one at a time in between other tasks while leveling would be inefficient and take me much more total time. If there were some way to mass unstack that I haven't learned yet this might work.

What do you mean? This is the current situation. I support the proposed change. All bits modifier and power should stack. You should be able to put stacks in to an RE tool. Selecting the tool -> Create SEA should consume one out of each stack. Attach to a socketed item -> RE. New powerbit is in your inventory, if its still the same level, put it back into the tool and it stacks with the others. Repeat until its a new level.

But honestly, its not about that process I spelled out. Its about storage. I do agree that some thought needs to be put into the stacking/unstacking behavior.
