Tweak Guardian Strike to not depend on melee accuracy

Proposal
- Tweak Guardian strike to remove its dependence on melee accuracy to be usable with any build that takes mDef
Justification
- This change would allow Powers/mDef builds to be able to use GS to hold aggro effectively, opening up build variety for tanks in hard/NM heroics.
Motivation
- Currently, only mLS/mDef tanks are viable in NM heroics due GS being dependent on melee accuracy, only mLS builds have the accuracy be able to hit the ability on enemies.
Currently, Guardian Strike is a melee attack, and the hate it generates is dependent on being able to hit the ability on enemies.
This makes a Powers/Defender tank much less viable, leaving mLS/mDef tanks as the only decent option for NM heroics.
Since defender is a separate tree from lightsabers, would it be unreasonable to make Guardian Strike an ability usable by mSaber/mDef or powers/mDef builds, so both could tank effectively?
I'm not saying change the range, just untie it from melee accuracy so that all who take mDef can use it properly.
 
Don't agree with making guardian strike work with ranged accuracy. There are other issues such as GS incurring a gcd based on your saber speed that would make it very clunky.

That being said, I have no issue with powers/defender being a viable tank. Dominate mind should effect all heroic bosses in my opinion.

In Expanding Horizons, they just created a parallel ability for ranged/melee. Seems like a pretty easy fix.
 
Lmao, alright you go make your own PV to delete Guardian Strike. But until that's approved stop trolling an absolute no-brainer of a PV.
Why is it a no brainer? Sorry for wanting certain things to have more of an identity then just make everything work for everything. If you want to be more creative maybe come up with something thoughtful.

That's exactly what this does. It gives defender it's own identity that isn't butt hugging MLS.

Class identity shouldn't be exclusively tied to heroics either. Powers/defender is an awesome PvP build.

That being said, if dominate mind worked on every boss powers could tank no issue.
 
in this case probably shouldnt be that guy, youre not going to hold aggro in a nm group comp. nor are you going to be tanking in a nm group

Why does it seem like half the server is brain washed by the grouping discord, we've been running all NM heroics just fine since January with mEnhance and normie tanks, there's never been agro issues and we've never had to "wait" to dps.

Plenty of non pickup nm groups run enhancer tanks and have for a long time.

Some guild groups are running lancer tanks in nightmare. Imagine that!
 
I think we’ve gotten off topic…again yes normies can tank NM yes enhancers can tank nightmare it’s not gonna be the fastest run probably gonna have some wipes…with this being said ranged accuracy and melee accuracy should both apply to guardian strike upvote
