Proposal
Those framiliar with 'legends' and their great city management system, know on the city terminal you can toggle 'show city border' this places a chalk like vvvvisual border on the ground showing the actual city border.
Justification
By having a visual, none distracting but seen border, this can help in knowing the border and not guessing where it is. Where city buff can be attained, where harvs and structures can be placed, storyteller walls and deco can be added.
Motivation
Adding the visual border helps all wirhin the city and those who may potentially wanna join a city knowing what area it encompasses.
Where is a cities actual borders?

Also to Ornj's comments/questions: I think adding in an option to the player options would be best, as they could turn it on/off.

Would it also be possible to add a customization option on the player's end? Thinking of being able to shade the chalk different colors to match the city's surrounding environment (i.e. - make it a certain shade of tan on Tattoine or Lok, green on Naboo, or however the player sees fit, maybe red on Naboo).

I would suggest it be on by default upon implementation and a white boarder to make it obvious for people to see, but have tutorial tooltips show up to help people understand the change and how to customize.

If it's only visible on the player's end and not global, I think this would keep with the gameplay immersion, but also add a great functionality to the city feature in the game.

It would be ideal if it was able to be individually toggled; not being a mayor I won't need it on all the time but only when trying to find a place close to my house to drop a factory or harvester.
