Proposal
Add stats to ISD (Interplanetary Survey Droid) reports
Justification
Adding stats would greatly simplify updating SWGAide and other resource sites. SWGAide already has code to read stats and update with them. I believe Beyond (or another NGE server) currently has this feature.
Motivation
Currently ISDs only report resource names, classification and planet. They do not tell us the stats of the resources. This makes them only marginally useful, as one must go and manually survey the resource anyway to find the stats.
I believe this proposal could greatly impact Res3 positively and be beneficial for nearly every player.

If adding modules anyway it would be cool to specialize them .. like if you want the resource details instead of overview then need a module for that class of resource (IE Inorganic, Chemical etc .. or maybe even more specific subtypes like Metals etc.). Getting statistic info on all resources in same droid feels a little OP to me.

They already do.
you must pair an ISD with a survey device. You pair an ISD with a survey device for each planet. Well one ISD has multiple "uses" so typically you make one with 11 uses for all 11 planets, but you would need 11 survey devices to survey those 11 planets, and that would be just for mineral, or chem, or whatever.
one ISD does not report the whole server, far, far from it

I played on an Emu server where a dev had a dream of adding a module to the ISD that would report stats, and another that would report a waypoint. That never got off the ground before the server folded.

Would definitely be awesome if we can get stats implemented with ISDs. Would save so much time for those reporting the resources all the time. Definitely a very time consuming task currently and benefits all of the crafters on the server.

I wont down vote this. But as someone who uses ISDs daily, I don't see any need or call for it.

Just for reference for OP's point, this is the only data you get back from ISDs

I know what the reports look like, I use 20 ISDs every day. And will sue 30 when mineral ISDs are fixed. Again, not down voting, but I don't think its as big an issue as Kash not being on the ISD destination list, or Minerals tools not working. Not by a long shot.

It's a nice QoL and feels star warsy having a droid survey material for you instead of a notification of what's new to manually go check.

Have to say, that could have been, in no way, directed at you. I'm sure it was for the other 500 - 600 players on Res3 who have no clue how ISDs work, or how resources get reported.

Yeah, I didn't take that personally. But as someone who does use them every day, I kinda think how I see it matters more than the 5-600 that don't :)
