Didn’t the entertainers dislike the double ent buff period?

I was under the impression it wasn’t welcomed.

Also ent buffs are already very strong I am nervous about making them more potent.

I think double length buffs for a limited 7 day period provided they are buffed in the featured cantina is a great idea. Would game mechanics accommodate that though?

Blanket assumptions across a whole profession irks me. I don't think that example had as much of a negative affect as was assumed it would by some entertainers. That situation was server wide for weeks. This player voice has the limits of at least a single location at a time. Or, skip the incentive and just go where you choose.

It wasn’t a blanket statement more of a question.

I was more asking due to there seemingly a lot of noise about entertainers cash flow etc.

I have no personal experience on this hence why I asked the question, I also directed the question at you, knowing you as an entertainer. But maybe in saying this, it wasn’t actually necessary for me to ask you.

I would personally like this increase to durations; But that is because it gives me more time before I have to visit an entertainer again.

Tips are already pretty sparse. The tips did not double with duration, so I don’t think this is a good avenue to bring life to other cantinas.

Additionally this concept is not easy to explain to a new player, and they will still just go to Mos Eisley cantina.

I like the original idea in general
In my opinion, the double time buffs were a bit much I say that both as an entertainer and non entertainer character player. That said, an increased duration of points to spread out I believe would be well received by both entertainers and non entertainers. Let's say 25 points versus 20 points at specific cantina(s). The issue (headache) would be spreading the wealth out between Cantina locations, i.e. fairness or perceived equity. Maybe start with a trial during a festival week? For example: Cantinas in the cities where the festival grounds are located would have a boost for one week or the duration of the festival. And see how that goes.

The fact the buffs already last 5 hours is plenty long enough, most people don't even play for that long and its far too easy to get more. I think the only problem I face as a musician on novarp is 2 things.

1. People get their buffs and just run, and never tip(either forget or just say screw you).
2. There's no way to see where the "demand" is. Like I'm in eisley a lot but I have no qualms about going to an area if there was a high demand for it somewhere else. Idk what mechanic there would be for that like the ability to "register" a cantina but instead it increases a mark saying hey I'm here and theres no entertainer I wish there was one. If that count gets high enough the first few entertainers that show up could get a bonus point or two for their inspiration buffs maybe.

Only because sometimes I login to Eisley and there's already like 5 people there doing their thing.

I like the idea of encouraging players to explore different venues across the galaxy. I do not support longer duration buffs, as they are bad for entertainers. An additional inspiration point or two would be nice.

That said, please remember to use the tools available to advertise your presence: registering in a cantina/hotel/theater, posting a notice in the Discord Entertainers channel, and announcing your location in Galaxy Chat are all great ways to advertise. People have a tendency to go to Mos Eisley first because they've been conditioned to do so. Offer an alternative!
