Proposal
Add different types of creatures to be tamable that produce eggs- for example no matter what Dewback baby I tame, I will always get a Dewback. To change this and to add some variety, there should be different varieties of creatures with different stat make-ups.
Justification
To bring the Creature Handler experience closer to what was in live CU.
Motivation
To add more variety to the Creature Handler profession.
So my proposal is to add different varieties of creatures to be tamed but what do I mean by that? Well let me use the Dewback as a prime example here. Currently in game, since its based on the NGE Beast Master system, no matter what Dewback I tame be it a regular, a mountain, cannibal, etc., I will just get a Dewback egg no matter what. Instead, I think this should be expanded. For example, maybe a regular Dewback just has regular stats, but a Mountain Dewback has more defense, a Cannibal Dewback has higher attack, a Grizzled Dewback has higher stats all-around, a Swarming Lesser Dewback has faster attack, etc. These would mean that all of these sub-species would have babies (be tamable) and each would produce their own egg. I use Dewbacks as an example because its the easiest to explain, but this can be applied to several creatures including but not limited to Banthas, Rancors, Squills, Bolle Bols, Rontos, Pikets, Spineflaps, Coreillian Butterflies, Chubas, Vesps, Nunas, Ikopis, etc. I think it would add some more variety to the already great Creature Handler system instead of the cookie-cutter system that we have now.

I love your suggestion....... the issue I find with BE pets is the prices make having Creatures that are good in combat creates a Rich/Poor divider with the avg.. BE pet at a min of 1mil......... starter CH don't stand a chance using a pet they've tamed in combat. That being said I love the updates of CH and Wild Creatures in game and hope that in the future more time will be available to put into reviving Tamed Pets. I miss it
What do you mean by "a starter CH doesn't stand a chance in combat using tamed pet"? Are you talking about PvP?

PvE is so easy that any pet you tame can help you level to max and actually do more damage than the player does!

In PvP will just ignore your pet anyway and focus on you.

So, I don't understand your point about combat.

Good morning

I was referring to PvE levelling up CH tree. The stats for tamed creatures are pathetic compared to BE and while I accept that a BE pet should be tougher than a tamed pet I feel the Tamed stats could be played around with a little to increase the effectiveness in combat (PvE). e.g. capped could be brought up to 50pts with the percentage attributes being 2 items at 30% (does this make sense...... only on my first cup of coffee lol)

The key differences between a BE pet and a tamed pet is the mutation and gap in pts. I'm not asking for a tamed pet points to be as high as a BE but just increase them a little bit. I have to use my BE pet in combat and my tamed ones are gathering dust.

Taming pets is a key part of CH because "our pet is our gun" which is only effective when a BE pet is in use. A starter CH doesn't have the funds for a BE pet to use in combat and the tamed pets with the current stats are mediocre at best.

I'd be interested in your thoughts on my suggestion about the edits to the tamed stats. BE pets are now established in game and people are familiar with them, would it cause any disruption to the BE side if a tamed pet was to cap at 50pts with the random two high attribute percentages capped at 30%?

They could even start the process of a rare pet by having a BE pet with 4/5 attributes instead of the regular 3 and a rare tamed with 3 attributes.

By attributes I mean the percentages at the bottom.

Looking forward to hearing you thoughts on this.

p.s. I have yet to venture into the world of PvP (something i'm looking forward to) so any info/suggestions you think would help in that area regarding pets would be interesting to hear :)

Tamed pets are perfectly fine for doing the vast majority of new player activities including questing etc. I'm not sure what they don't stand a chance in? Also the rich/poor divide is a bit hyperbolic imo. 60pt 2.2% DPS pets can be found on the bazaar for as little as 450k.....that's like 1hr of factional missions or something they would accrue through just doing legacy.
