Implemented Make Harvesters have admin rights

Sometimes you need to check your harvs with an alt. Maybe it's because the owner is somewhere else, maybe it's because there is now a nest of nasties around the harv and ya need to send in your combat char. Whatever the reason, you should be able to add your alt to harvester admin so they can check it. Perhaps even with a limit that you can only add the alt from your account (to keep cartels from forming haha), or make it an account check instead of a player check. Either way, you should be able to check and retrieve from your harvester with your alt.

Ah i knew I read this somewhere, I thought it was on swl legends website, but no, it was from R3, you are correct -

"Every individual is allowed one account. Each account has two character slots by default. A third character slot can be unlocked by completing the Ridith DNA Collection. A fouth character slot is opened by unlocking Jedi. An account can have a maximum of four characters and can login a maximum of two characters simultaneously. "

I also forgot you could have 2 character on the same account logged in simultaniously, though Im not sure how...

There's a launcher setting to allow multiple instances of the client.

I would even say to allow all the characters of the same account, to have access and to be able to place, directly to all the building of the account, with all the rights. at least no worries!

Having all characters on your account auto admin to your harvesters is a very nice QOL change that provides more efficient and effective harvesting. If I drop 15 heavies on Lok. Having to drive both toons 8km away instead of just one is a hassle that can be avoided.

There is an alternative that would eliminate the need to make the 8km run at all.

You could always hire another player to clear out the nasty critters for you..... I means, thats how it used to be done in the old days. This technically is still an MMO.

/setpermission admin [player' s first name] with the harvester targeted.

/macro hvup;
/setpermission admin character2;
/setpermission admin character3;
/setpermission admin character4;

can't think of the /commands for /add power amount & /add maintenance amount commands but had those in my harvester setup macro/alias.

I saw this a while back on the Fandom wiki. it did not work. Has it worked for you?

This works,

/addpower <amount>
/paymaintenance <amount>

As long as it is account only and cannot be given admin rights to anyone not on your account

Just started. I don't have the ability to test yet. Couple things, you have to be in range of the radial menu and have the harvester targeted for the /commands to work.

Why? No structure permissions have ever worked that way in any iteration of the game.

I will upvote it but on the premise of Aconites point on only allowing the account's access and id rather just have an innate access rather then admin list to constantly add back my toons on it every time i move a harvester since they redeed i assume they also purge the data entry for access lists?

I heartily support this!!

I run a "mining company" in game - Ore Else Mining and while I don't at all mind logging into each character to drop rigs down (I have 22 lots total I use) collecting resources that are still spawned and paying maint/putting in energy becomes a frustrating dance of dual box logging so that I can have one character ride with another to get them taken care of.

It would make life so much easier if I could handle the "tedious" bit of mining with one or two characters.

I do agree that this needs to be account only.
While we have applied for an account for my wife, there is zero need for us to be in each other's harvesters (if she indeed places any).
