Proposal
Please have us players control the activity feature by putting a switch (checkbox) in the option that turns off this feature. And by turning it off it freezes the state of the current activity day, and it does not count forward event if we log in. The daily activity login counter only counts when this feature is checked.
Justification
It sure will put down the pressure that is building up over time the more days you log in to reach the next stage. We players are very committed to that when it comes towards an award or even an achievement.
Motivation
I see players that grieve with a loss in their family and only log in for the time being just to keep the activity monitor up and running. That should not be the case.
Dear devs,

there will be situations, where game committed players are not able to log in for certain periods. It could be holidays / vacations, army duties, or saddening losses in friends or family. I, on my side, am getting to the 90 days right now. But I already know that I will not make the next stage after the 90 days, since I will be on vacation, where I cannot bring a computer along. So at that time I have to start over again at 0 days, that saddens me a lot. I also see friends who are struggling to log in due to sudden private RL issues, that have not been foreseen.

I agree that it is frustrating to break your streak, as I've also been in this situation where I've not been able to log in for a single day and have to start over. It would be nice if you made a certain break-point that if your streak ended, you would fall back to that break point instead of starting over again. (i.e. - you log in for 10x days straight and you miss day # 14, your counter goes back to 10 days instead of zero).

I will have to down vote this. your (feelings) have nothing to do with helping the game develop.

There is a plan in place to make it work in 28 day increments instead of a straight counter.
See this PV that Aconite asked me to write:
And here is the discussion thread for it:

That is actually great news, and way better than the current system. I will close my proposition. Hmm... i guess i cannot do that.
