- Ranger is a hybrid profession with no real hybridisation profession.

- It's a fun but underused class due to the lack of viable builds
Ranger is the only one of the hybrid professions with links to just one base tree.
This makes it exceptionally difficult to make good ranger builds where you aren't pigeon holed into just the scout tree and retain a base level of PVE healing.
Ranger is a fantastic but limited class in terms of abilities so it's not something you dive into as the main profession, however with no links to sharpshooter, brawler, medic etc it leaves it in a very weird place of viable builds.
The very few you do see for solo PVE are ranger CH cm 4****, I've seen none for heroics although ranger Dr cm 4*** probably could work.
Outside of those youre outright giving up any base level of PVE healing aside stims.
I don't really PvP so can't say what the impact of links would be but can't see considerable changes taking place.
