Re-egg of CHs Combat Pets via an Item BEs Would Make and Sell

Re-egg of CHs Combat Pets via an Item BEs Would Make and Sell
This idea/suggestion is Open. You can respond to ask questions or discuss the idea and either vote it up or down if you believe it should or should not be implemented, respectively. Popular suggestions and ideas will be considered by the development team to become reality in-game.
Proposal
Allow a Creature Handler (CH) to re-egg their combat pets to allow the transfer to another character on their own account by implementing an item that a Master Bio-Engineer (BE) can make. A possibility could be an item that a Master BE creates using materials, similar to a regular pet, and takes a comparable amount of time to make the Re-egg item. That time could then be sold to someone who can use it on a combat pet to turn it back into a “No Trade Share” egg.
Justification
This would allow a CH who incites and starts down the path of a Jedi to transfer their pets to another character on the same account. The pet would still need to be relevelled (combat and loyalty), and all skills would need to be acquired and learned.
In addition, a common point presented by the BE community is that allowing free transfers would undermine the BE economy. This option adds another area where BEs can make money by creating the Re-egg items. The item could cost ~5,000,000 credits.
For someone who wants to transfer their Reek, Rancor, and Acklay, this could cost ~15,000,000 credits.
Motivation
When a character incites and becomes a Jedi, a 4th character slot is opened as an option to remake the build of the character that became a Jedi. CHs are one of the only professions that have a significant aspect of their profession locked into just one character and is non-transferable. Thus, not allowing the ability to transfer or continue the old character’s legacy. This means the potential loss of use of very rare creatures such as Blackwings or Mutated Aclays. In any other profession, items that are not bio-linked or no trade, such as armor, weapons, heroic jewelry (even the free set), droids, creature mounts, starships, starship parts, houses, etc., can be transferred from the old character to the new character on the same account and in some cases to other players. This would allow a player who has spent significant time and money acquiring their pets to continue using them on their other character(s), thereby allowing them to continue their CH legacy. Additionally, it would enable the BE community another opportunity to continue earning money from creating and providing the transfer item.
I have seen this topic brought up several times, and I am bringing it up again with a proposed solution to address one of the main issuies brought up.

Down vote as this is the same dribble that has been brought up before , except this time this PV aims to introduce an consumable that would cost the same as buying the same pet
which if that is the case then why not just buy the same pet again ???

I understand pet transfer has been brought up before. This addresses the main argument that allowing free pet transfers would destroy the BE economy by introducing an item that still gives the BE community something to sell and allows a CH that has incited and wants to go Jedi to transfer their pet at a reduced price of uncommon or rare pets, as those tend to start at 6 million and go up. BEs still get money, and a player can transfer their uncommon/rare pets at a reduced rate to their alts.

Let's keep please comments that attack someone to yourself please. Instead of attacking maybe offer ideas like maybe a lower cost then proposed. ID can buy something to change a person race, maybe something of the same type a BE can only buy to revert it to egg.

Everytime one of these is brought up people just trash it and "say just buy a new one" "it will hurt the BE community" etc. Every class has the ability to transfer all if not most class items to another toon. But CH do not. They are told to suck it up. Seeing how something like this comes up "Every month" and these are player voices then it seems like lots of people want an option.

BE here, upvoted. At the very least for jedi. I also think this has potential to expand the BE economy even further since new jedi will be more likely to re-spin CH on their alts. They may only transfer their favorites at that price point and having CH alts always leaves the door open for new pet purchases. Currently, most just drop CH forever.

If not this, then why not make it something that does similar to a respec? I don't mind the extra cost of buying another pet. Its the grind to BFF and learning abilities that's more annoying. Or just change pets to shared no trade.

This is a great point actually. Most just drop it entirely.

The main argument in those threads was the BE economy, as pointed out by Aconite. I am attempting a compromise by posing a way for BEs to still get money and CHs to still retain their uncommon and rare pets at a cheaper price. Everyone would still be buying common pets such as Durnis and Chokus at the normal price. As Jacknightmare pointed out, “this has potential to expand the BE economy even further since new jedi will be more likely to re-spin CH on their alts” and “Currently, most just drop CH forever.”

Question: What would be better for the economy, a person dropping CH altogether and not buying any more pets, or allowing compromise and promoting new CH alts who do still contribute to the BE economy?

Wrong:
Weapons from BF Vendor, Bio Linked.
Heroic weapons, Bio Linked.
Musty Weapons, Bio Linked.
General Weapons, Bio Linked.
Heroic Backpacks, Bio Linked.

got any data to back up your claim that "Currently ,most just drop CH forever"

"All if not most" as stated. Not all players have bio linked gear when they get to that point.

I do not have hard numbers for that, just anecdotal evidence from the BE that I quoted, JACKNIGHTMARE, and echoed by C4RP3N0CT3M.

I can provide numbers based on data I have access to. I want to keep this focused on the economy, as that has been the main argument from the Devs. According to Professions - SWGTracker, there are 2913 CHs.

How do you think this will impact the BE economy if suddenly all those CHs who incited could buy an item to re-egg their pet and transfer it to a CH Alt?

We will go with just 3% of the CHs who are inciting and wanting to transfer their pets (87). We will stick to them wanting to transfer 2 pets (10 million credits at the proposed cost). That would be about 870 million credits going towards the BE economy.

Again, quoting a BE, “this has potential to expand the BE economy even further.”

What's interesting with your comparison is that the CH still has to deal with all of these as well, so CH's don't "get out of" transferring these as opposed to another class; a CH still uses BF/heroic weapons and packs (which you lose when switching Jedi anyway for the WP) for example. That being said, I'm not sure of a weapon that costs 150mil to make. Just saying.

so making up incite % numbers, yeah ok , this goes to show how much of a clown show this whole PV really is , especially when this topic has been shut down so many times and then you quote someone who claims to be a BE as if that makes it more valid , guess what i am a BE also and this whole PV is just not needed at all
Again you are calling for a consumable item that would cost the same or roughly the same as buying another pet ........now read that part slowly for about 10 times and hopefully you can comprehend it

1.) Nobody told anyone to get a 150mil pet.
2.) Assuming you are not one of the players that can affort a full mando suit and several Jetpacks after playing for 4 weeks,... you should know how the jedi system works by the time you can afford a pet for 150mil.
3.) There is ALWAS thr option to keep your character as a CH and don't go the Jedi route.

There's also always the option to not buy a weapon that Biolinked. Let people have a way to re-purchase their pets while saving BE's the struggle of slot-machining their Iso's while also letting players keep the animals they've grown attached to.
