- Proposal
- Make it so that /chroniclerv use will work with /say>name and other emoted speech use thru the targeted npcs
Emoting thru the npcs would be nice too, but the /say>name target function is the focus.
- Justification
- Spatial is always hard to tell who's speaking at who, thus we have the /say>name function npcs do it all the time when we get traffic stopped
This would help puppeteering the npcs for events much more coherent for storytellers
- Motivation
- Quality of life for RP content, Help people bring star wars stories to life.
It can be awkward when a group of players is talking to the npc and it can't say directly who its speaking with.
I love storyteller stuff and roleplay mechanics and need to get back into it, but this is something I thought about.
In rp scenarios the /say>name function really helps with clarity on who's speaking to who and I always felt when puppeteering a npc for storyteller stuff, this function of /say>name or whatever emotes like /yell>name would help with clarity.
This literally has no down sides besides the effort involved.
