Chat - add flashing tab option

Heya is there a way to make the chat boxes flash when new message's are in there, have it default as of I know that you can create chat channels and pull them around the screen but I proffer a tidy looking game and the ability to turn flashing or something on to tell me a guild members messaged or group as I sit in galaxy chat and become a little to consumed. Also the ability to turn city shouts when you enter/leave a city turn off/on in certain chat channel as if I leave and enter it makes it harder to keep track of chats ( I know this is a me issue but I think it would benefit people within the community)
