Greetings Galaxy,
We've updated our Community Standards to make some necessary adjustments to create and foster an environment that promotes an active, collaborative, passionate, fun, and engaged community. These adjustments represent a slight change in approach to how we handle moderation of language and communication. Previously, actions taken on one service (like Discord) also applied to all the others equally (like in-game). We are now introducing communication-only restrictions, and new higher expectations for continued use of our public chat rooms, to better enable us to maintain a pleasant community. The following is a summary of the changes we've made, which are effective immediately. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to Community Support.
May The Force Be With You,

The following is a summary of the changes we've made, which are effective immediately. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to Community Support.
- Community Integrity (previously "Other Guidelines")
- Added Your long term participation must not consistently bring down morale, derail productive conversations, or otherwise create a negative environment for others. Such cases may result in access restrictions to public communication channels, and in extreme cases, suspensions or bans. This includes, for example: Habitually negative or inflammatory commentary without reasonably inferred constructive intent; Disengagement from the game while continuing to stir conflict or antagonize others still playing; Persistent disruption or low-value chatter that discourages participation. This does not generally include things like PvP trash talk where community norms may be more lax, but instead when the patterns of behavior extend outside of that.
- How We Handle Violations
- Added Communication Limitations - To ensure our community maintains a safe and productive environment, staff may limit an account’s ability to post messages or reactions (e.g., read-only in Discord or in-game). These limitations do not come with Infraction points and are usually time-limited. Members placed in a read-only restriction may request a review after a cooling-off period to restore normal posting if they’re ready to re-engage constructively.
- Service Continuity (previously "Service Equivalency")
- Changed Violations of the Community Standards that result in an Infraction are evaluated equivalently across our various services (e.g. Forums, Discord, and in-game). When an infraction is issued, regardless of the origin of the behavior that catalyzed its issuance, it applies to the overall account's total. When a suspension or ban is issued, it is applied across all services equally. Access limitations (for example, read-only in public channels or game spaces, temporary posting restrictions, or temporary "kicks") may be applied per-service to protect the health of that specific space. Our expectation is still that users consistently follow our Community Standards regardless of the service they are using.
