Not Implemented Increase Healing Rate

This idea/suggestion has been flagged as Not Implemented because of a lack of popularity, lack of interest, lack of feasibility, or other determination by the Development Team, so the suggestion will not be implemented. Once a suggestion has been flagged this way, the decision is final. Although the issue may be raised again in the future after a six month cooldown. Currently I believe its like 1 wound point per minute. Seems fast right? Wrong. lets take for example, you get hit with a disease, that can give tou like 300 would points. Now, to heal that sitting in a medical center would take 5 real time hours. I dont know about other players, but I get hit with wounding effects often.

Right now we are lucky to have a couple doctor players running 24/7 heal bots, in Tatooine. But thats not happening anywhere else. So basically, whenever you get wouded, you have to travel to tatooine to get your heal bot.

If you were to speed up the med bay healing by x2, that would cut a 300 damage would heal time from 5 hours down to 2.5 hours. Even that seems excessive., but at the very least I would suggest that.

Doctor's and entertainers aren't required to use that. It's a tool - not a requirement. 25 wound heal per minute in a med center would negate the requirement for a doctor wound heal. Spend 10-15 minutes in a med center and you're good... illogical. Again - go walk around or ask for a doc and quit being lazy.
Doctors buff, that's their niche.
They also heal wounds fast!
A med center auto healing wounds is not game breaking at all.
I should have the option to sit in a med center while i go make a sandwich and get auto healed over time.
600 wounds would still take 24 minutes.

There are no doctors listed in professional services right now.
The OP is right, 1 wound per minute is NOT something I remember from the CU at all.
It should be at least 25 per minute.
I don't remember ever visiting a medic center in CU between all the doctors in my guild and random doctors that would heal my wounds while I waited for a shuttle. or checking the bazaar there just wasn't a need. Might depend on which server you played on, but I only remember visiting entertainers for buffs and battle fatigue.

I remember it well, not sure how many wounds were healed per min, however I know it was a lot more than 1.

Wait, are you saying 1 wound per minute is bad because you don't recall it from CU. It should be 25 wounds per minute....becuase you recall that from CU live?

Thats is why I suggested x2. Not x25.

This suggestion should probably be closed at this point, seems like it's going around in circles.

Drueric: While there might be some lee-way regarding 2x per tic as a NPC/Player City hospital, verbally degrading people that disagree with you isn't allowing your argument to stand on it's own legs.

The whole perspective of where SWG stems from is player crafting, assisting, and providing services for other players and any decision that separates from that philosophy is going to feel "Un-SWG" for lack of a better word.

In the future, it may be wiser for you to keep your emotions out of the discussions.

Given R3's current population and I know there is always a doc available at Coronet, Mos Eisley, and other niche spots where people AFK their docs to assist other players, perhaps you might consider using one of you three slots available to make a doctor and fit it in one of your builds for yourself. You don't even need Master Doc.

if they had a legitimate rational disagreement, I would always be respectful, but when people just insult and troll, they get the degradation in full. And yes, I just made a doctor. Grinded it out in a day. That doesnt mean this proposal isnt valid. You cant expect every player to make their own doctor to solve this problem, that isnt reasonable. We have like, what... 30 different professions?

In a way, dedicated doctor players are obsolete. When you consider the generous amount of skill points we get, every combat character can take doctor as a second profession and just heal themselves. Or just make a second character that just follows your main character around healing them. This server does everything backwards... But its not quite as bad as the other remakes...

Given its unpopularity and the inability of those providing feedback to engage in civil discussion, this thread is closed.
