- Proposal
- Add a permanent item information panel to the existing Junk Dealer interface.
When selecting an item from the loot list, its stats and other relevant information should automatically appear in the panel, without requiring the player to click "Examine Item" or open a separate inventory window.
The panel should update whenever a different item is selected. All existing Junk Dealer functionality and selling mechanics should remain unchanged. This is purely an additional UI feature and a quality-of-life improvement.
- Justification
- This change would make managing and selling large amounts of loot faster and more convenient. Players could immediately view an item's stats, bonuses, and other relevant properties before deciding whether to sell it.
It would reduce unnecessary clicks and eliminate the need to switch between multiple windows to inspect items. This would be particularly useful for players who collect large amounts of equipment and clothing with valuable stat bonuses.
The change would benefit players without affecting game balance, existing mechanics, or the current selling system.
- Motivation
- When dealing with a full inventory of loot, it can be time-consuming to determine which items are worth keeping and which can be sold.
For example, when I have multiple pieces of clothing with +21 stat bonuses, I want to quickly compare their properties and decide which ones I need. Currently, I have to repeatedly click "Examine Item" or keep my inventory open alongside the Junk Dealer to check each item's information.
I would like the Junk Dealer to provide all relevant item information in one place, allowing me to select items and immediately see their stats. This would make sorting through loot much smoother and less tedious, especially when dealing with large quantities of items.
I'd like to suggest a small QoL improvement to the Junk Dealer interface in SWG Restoration. By adding an item information panel directly to the existing window, players could instantly view an item's stats and properties simply by selecting it, making sorting and selling loot much faster and more convenient.
