Proposal
Please implement the link between Discord and CityChat, just like the GuildChat and GalaxyChat.
Justification
Our 100+ citizen city has more than one guild and many people don't want to join any guild. We have US and EU guys with different time zones / play time. Still we all would like to cooperate in crafting and fighting and for that we need a common chat.
Motivation
The CityChat would be the perfect place for the citizens to keep in touch if we could link it with our City Discord!
With the coming city content this would be a nice addition.

As mayor, my current rights regarding a private player building are limited to checking the owner and demolishing the house. I need admin privileges to grant a resident special benefits; that is the only way I can reduce the city's costs. upvote

The recent guild/discord chat links has been really successful, this is a no brainer implement PV, agree with city update would be perfect.

The Resto Cantina Discord Started as a Disco Only affair, But When Shikaii Made her own guild I got the idea to offer to let her link it there and give her admin rights over that section of the discord.

Be fun to just do a Discord for Funky Town in General With Several different Guilds and factions within as we hopefully grow.
City chat being added that way would be pretty useful, for cross guild communication, in game.

It's always more complicated than it sounds. Yes, from a technical point of view this is probably something your average AI will spend 5 seconds on. BUT the problem is that discord itself has several restrictions for bots, including maximum number of connected accounts (we already hit one of those and needed to verify a few things) as well as diferent layers of rate limiting. While we did not have an issue so far, by doing the sheer number we will probably hit rate limits if we would enable this for all cities in the galaxy. So there would be a need for a second bot or probably a pool of bots at some point, which then also makes it more complex for people to onboard.

Thanks for response, perhaps enabled for max tier cities only until expand bot pool...? Though ultimately its nice to have I think regardless of city size.

A fast response even if its a no, or a "Highly" unlikely is still good.

Even if it is a bummer. Will keep a torch lit for this idea incase anything ever changes.
