- Proposal
- Address the current T5 base issues by adding clear deactivation feedback and restoring some limited GCW relevance. When a T5 is successfully deactivated, attackers should receive a confirmation message, and the GCW Activity Tracker should show the base as deactivated along with the deactivation time and remaining downtime. T5s should also provide some modest strategic value without returning to the previous level of scoring influence.
- Justification
- The current T5 implementation creates uncertainty around the broader GCW base system. Players can invest significant time into building, defending, scouting, and attacking these bases without receiving clear feedback on what effect those actions are having on the war. When a base is deactivated with no confirmation and no visible tracker state, it creates confusion about what is actually happening behind the scenes, especially from a scoring and strategic standpoint.
That uncertainty naturally leads players to question the purpose of the system itself: if a T5 provides little visible benefit when active and little visible impact when destroyed, what is the incentive to build, defend, or attack one?
- Motivation
- The main motivation is to restore clarity, confidence, and purpose to the GCW base system. Players should understand why these bases matter and be able to see the result of their efforts. When major faction objectives feel disconnected from the larger war, it hurts participation and morale. T5 bases do not need to dominate GCW scoring, but they should feel meaningful enough that players see value in organizing around them.
T5 bases currently feel undervalued for the amount of effort involved in building, defending, scouting, and attacking them. The previous passive scoring tick was removed because it carried too much weight, but the current result is that T5s contribute very little to the wider GCW. Moreover, the entire mechanic for attacking them seems broken and confusing.
Recommended hotfix items:
The goal would be to make T5 bases worth contesting again without allowing them to carry too much weight in the overall GCW score.
Recommended hotfix items:

- Give attackers confirmation that the objective was completed.
- Show Deactivated status in the GCW Activity Tracker.
- Show the deactivation time and remaining downtime.
- Give T5s some limited strategic value without returning to the previous scoring weight.
- Consider a modest reward for successfully deactivating a T5.
