RANGER
Profession Overview:
Ranger is a profession that focuses on Traps and Stealth as its main abilities. A Ranger can also hide fellow players in combat situations in PVP. The Ranger's Stealth gives this class the ability to bypass many NPC's instead of fighting all of them in a cave or bunker if the Rangers camouflage skill is high enough. ( great if you just have a object to collect ).
Prerequisites:
Following skills are required to learn Novice Ranger.
Scout: Camouflage: Environments IV
Scout: Trapping: Design IV
Restrictions
Ranger Stealth abilities will place a walking speed debuff on the player.
This debuff is not as slow as you approach the Master Skill Box.
Once you achieving Ranger x2xx and get the skill: Burst of Shadows 30s run with long cooldown
(like burst run skill but shorter).
Abilities and Skill:
One of the key features of the Ranger profession is the ability to provide Damage over time that stacks and putting a massive slows on movement speed of anything that steps into the Rangers traps this benefit's the whole group by having the Ranger's traps set. (Note: need to understand traps have a footprint that is AOE)
These abilities can enhance various aspects of gameplay, such as increasing damage output, providing support to the ranged classes by making barriers between them and the NPC's or players.

Stealth Utility:
Ranger is the only class with dedicated Stealth as part of it's play style.
With this Stealth the class has a few unique abilities.
Stealth -
Sneak-Skulk-Shroud-Vanish All stealth cooldowns are the same 10s, the only difference is the strength of the camouflage and the movement speed you can walk.
Steal - This ability allows you to relieve a humanoid from some of their belongings. Under stealth you have the ability to loot NPC's of items: sample list is still being tested but here are things that have been confirmed.
Junk loot, Stims, Stat clothing, Rings, Necklace, Bracelets, Common Schematics, Power Crystals, Color Crystals, Backpacks, Tracking device's, Housings (village), House Collections, Weapons, Aurebesh tiles, All collectable parts for auto loom items, all collectable parts for recyclers. You can steal from a NPC and get something, then kill the same NPC and get other items. (

Snipe - (Ranged)
Ambush - (Melee)
Both of these are special attacks you have at achieving Master Ranger.
They are attacks from stealth that causes heavy damage and reduces the target's healing output for a short period of time if the weapon has elemental damage, the chance is increased for the element damage to proc from a stealth attack.
Camouflage Ally - This ability allows you to render a friend invisible in the wilderness.
(does have a time limit of 30s of stealth and 2 min cooldown before reapply )
Cover Up - This ability allows the Ranger to enter stealth from a prone position after some preparation time (4 sec). This allows the Ranger to hide from enemies during combat, although they may still be detected by enemies in close proximity. If the Ranger leaves the prone position, or performs an action, this will break the stealth. This will be your primary break contact from NPC's for the Ranger this will hide you off all radar also.
Detect Stealth - Ranger has the highest chance to detect other players that are using Stealth.
Traps - Ranger has the following four traps and two of them have improved versions.
Venomous Ploy - This trap explodes with a toxic cloud, causing poison damage to all enemies nearby.
(Has Improved version, Instant Cast).
Tangle Bomb - This trap allows the Ranger to deploy a trap at their immediate position that is used to lower the movement speed of any target entering the trap area. (Instant Cast)
Razor Net - This trap allows the Ranger to place a trap at their immediate position which that lowers the movement speed while causing a bleeding wound to any target that enters the trap area.
(Has Improved version, Instant cast)
Net Trap - This trap allows the Ranger to build a net trap (4 sec setup timer) that will ensnare any targets in a net that they must break free from, and reduces their defenses.
This trap lasts for a longer duration than other traps. Note: NPC's will be trapped for 20 sec's, During PVP the player will be trapped until they break free by doing damage to the trap. (
This trap will not root a Boss Gold Chevron NPC)
Traps now give correct Scouting XP
Skill Mods:
Ranger is one of the only Advanced professions that can attack with both Melee, and Ranged weapons in hand.
All Stat boosts are in General melee or General ranged so it can complement many build's with it's traps and stealth.

Equipment:
Armor
Rangers can wear Battle Armor. (Note: Faction Armor from both Theme parks is battle armor)
Battle armor provides equal kinetic and energy protection, It can be enhanced with Peko-Peko feathers and Interwoven Segments for additional health bonus.

Heroic Sets: Two
The Strider set, for Ranger, makes you even more stealthy and allows you to escape combat with a Decoy.
The Trapper set, for Ranger, allows you to place traps from Stealth and makes one of the traps into a Dire Root, an unbreakable debuff.
