Proposal
Adjust the loot tables to be reasonable for non-afk (keeping in mind they were originally set for AFKing).
Justification
It's unreasonable (and illogical) to expect people to not AFK in a system that is literally designed for them to have to AFK. I'm totally on board with the no-afk plan, but you have to, reasonably, adjust the system to support that.
Motivation
I want to support the anti-AFK initiative, but because of the rediculously low drop rate, I find myself having to AFK to accomplish anything. So, I can either go this route, or I can start working on circumventing your anti-AFK. I think we'd both perfer I go this route.
SOE adjusted the loottables with AFKers in mind (they shouldn't have, but they did, given the proliferation of AFKers, I can even understand why they did). R3 wants this to be an anti-AFK environment (a goal I actually support). However, if they want it to be anti-afk, they need to adjust the loot tables so that you don't HAVE to AFK to accomplish anything. Yes, play the game, no one should get something instantly, but when you have the loot tables set for AFKing in mind, then take a small population, and don't allow it to AFK, you are creating problems.

This is something that I agree with 100%. Everything in this game is a grind. For some the "at keyboard grind," can only go for so long, before real life takes over. RNG is a MFer to start out with, lets not add hours of mindless grinding to it.

With the amount of emulators out there i think afking can be more helpful than harmful. this is a new server. If you want to attract players from other servers the gear girinds need to be addressed somehow. if its gonna take a long time to get geared up player will find it hard to want to swap over

I think narrowing the loot tables would help with some of the afk to gather collectables. I'd rather work hard than just long. Up to 30hrs to drop some items means you just can't do it at the keys. I think this is a constructive idea.

I, Maximilian Lyyr, approve of this idea. You see, certain items (looking at you Rare Loot Chests) have ridiculously low drop rate and while some things indeed should be rare, people still manage to afk them and get advantage over players who do it ATK. I do hope there's a way to satisfy both parties and once again i support this idea of yours.

Yours truly,
Maximilian Lyyr.

Well rather than shutting off the ability for people to get loot period. How are the devs determining AFK activity. I have been ATK grinding a collection loot drop spot and havent received a single item in 6 hours.

When I started to play on this server, i got a rare loot item and it made me happy. Then i found a house which has ridiculous amount of these rare items and it was like someone just spit in my face. There's definitely a way to get them in these amounts which we don't know and i bet it includes afk. My tinfoil hat is on, thank you.

Alot of ppl did afk and you can still afk farm loot chests just not in quest area's. Also you can just make a toon level it up to say lvl 10 should get a few chests by then and delete and restart another toon
