Proposal
Galactic Fortitude Tokens should be able to be bought with credits.
Justification
More credit sinks are already needed in the game to balance the economy, and more players will be able to get the items from the GFT shop, which promotes more users wanting to play the game and work towards something.
Motivation
It has been stated that the Galactic Fortitude Token(GFT) system will eventually be taken away at an unknown point in the development phase.
Current GFT shop would take 18,000 tokens to be able to buy every item once. Completing all of the content that currently offers tokens, nets you a grand total of 1,800. That is quite far off, and only allows you maybe a couple items, or not even one mount. The only other way to get tokens is to entertain a player every hour for 5 tokens, or craft something every hour for 5 tokens. Many players do not have an entertainer so that is out, and assuming you can make a basic craft on your other three characters(if you have three) it is 15 tokens an hour. Many players do not have a large amount of hours a day to ensure they are getting a craft in every single hour. The other alternative, is to run ALL of the content again, which takes a considerable amount of time, for another 1,800 tokens, which is still not even close to being half-way. Giving the option to buy GFT's with in-game credits, gives players another credit sink to help balance out the currently inflated economy, and will allow players that have been playing for a good amount of time to have more of the rewards from this limited time shop. The first rate I would consider, would be 100 tokens for 1 million credits. Can be adjusted either way for what makes sense in the economy. 50 tokens for 1 million credits? Overall, it is RARE to see anyone using an item from the shop, and most of them are already cosmetic or decorations anyway.

Absolutely.
Including adding renewable items there that people will certainly want to burn their dragonhoards on. 5000 tokens for a crate of say 50,000 of a perfect steel. (or whatever works best for balancing economy) It'll be an awesome inflation control that gives people things they can actually use.

(right now i've spent 12 hours trying to get exceptional milk, and received 8. How much do you wanna bet i'd go for this. Current economy is pricing them at 200k each, and the ones that want that milk probably cant afford it so its just a tease. I'd -defintely- buy milk from there if it was a doable system, and would help re-orient pricing server wide to something more sensible.)

Thanks for your suggestion!

We will not implement this change. As described, the Galactic Fortitude System is a community recognition program to recognize early players of the Restoration III Server and provide an incentive for content playthrough so the development team could resolve bugs.

Outside of content payouts which were intentionally limited and will be further reduced until they are eliminated by 1.0, there are 3 community programs that permanently provide an opportunity to earn tokens (bug bashing, wiki wayfinding, and event engagement (e.g. logging in during the anniversary weekend got all players 100 tokens, Mustafar testers got tokens, likely this weekend we'll be giving away tokens for helping test city invasions)).

Your comments are right that it is very limited in what you can purchase but that is the very intention of the mechanic. The program was only designed for an account to ever achieve 50-65% penetration into all of the available items on the vendor, and that was for our earliest players when payouts were highest and additional earning opportunities were available. There will still always be opportunities to earn tokens (participating in live events and requested testing on the Test Center likely being the most fruitful) but we've paid bug bounties and wiki wayfinding rewards of up to 1,000 tokens depending on the severity and novelty of the bug reported or the work people have put into writing on the wiki as well.

So there are still ways to earn the tokens if you really want the rewards, but indeed, they are intended to be rare and exclusive to those who stuck with us during the earliest and buggiest parts of the project and who actively help the community. There are other ways we can (and will be) introducing credit sinks into the economy and where we sit currently economy-wise is trending with where we want to be. Making the rewards more accessible will devalue them and the work many members of the community put in to earn them in the first place.
