  • This quest is part of the Champion of Mustafar questline.

You will need a group in order to complete this quest.

This dungeon/instance involved in this quest has a lockout timer and is repeatable!
    • Once you enter, the timer starts!
    • Do NOT enter the dungeon/instance until you have a group and are ready!
This instance grants 4 Mustafar Trials Tokens upon completion.

    Level: 80
    Description:
The only way for the Mustafarians to be safe is to destroy HK-47. Milo has intercepted a signal from the highest point in the area, a nearby volcano crater. It would seem that HK-47 is trying to flag down a ship and get offworld.
Recommended combat level: 80 and with a group

    The Volcano Crater

Before entering the Volcano Crater, also known as HK, here is some information on what awaits you.
    • This dungeon/instance is timed at an hour
    • After the hour you will be locked out until the daily reset
      • This will not be easy - be prepared!
      • Highly recommend crafted armor with Skill Enhancing Attachments(SEAs), also known as tapes
      • Bring consumables; food and spice
        • It is especially important to bring damage mitigation food, such as Exo-Protein Wafers and Synthsteak
      • Doctor and entertainer buffs
    • If your group happens to wipe, you are allowed to re-enter the dungeon/instance, given that the timer has not expired
    • There are four difficulty modes available, the harder the difficulty the better the loot
      • Womp Rat (Easy) / Bantha (Normal) / Rancor (Hard) / Krayt Dragon (Nightmare)
    Summary of Instance
Once you are ready, head to the entrance of the Mensix Mining Facility with your group. When you are all ready, speak to Master Pilot Menddle to enter the dungeon/instance.

    Boss 1: HK-Taskmaster

For the first encounter, you will see HK-Taskmaster and 8 SK-21 support droids in front of them. Each of these SK-21 support droids has a red bubble around them. Overtime, as you fight the HK-Taskmaster, the red bubble will disappear on one of the SK-21 droids and they will be attackable.

The goal here is to destroy all of the SK-21 support droids as they become attackable, while fighting HK-Taskmaster. While there are any SK-21 support droids alive, HK-Taskmaster will regenerate health.

Once all of the SK-21 support droids have been destroyed, you will see a message prompt and HK-Taskmaster will be given a buff.
    • The Taskmaster strengthens at the loss of a Sustainer.
    Will of the Taskmaster
    • Modify combat speed by 30.00 points
    • Improved damage output
    • Reduce damage from melee attacks by 30.00%
    • Reduce incoming damage by 30.00%
    • Armor increased by 4000.00
Concentrate your damage on HK-Taskmaster until you destroy them.

Once your group has defeated HK-Taskmaster and all of the SK-21 support droids, you can continue down the trail to the next encounter.

    Boss 2: AK-Prime

For the second encounter, you will see AK-Prime and 4 HK-77 assault droids surrounding them.

The goal here is to destroy all of the HK-77 assault droids, while fighting AK-Prime and avoiding their special abilities.
AK-Prime has 3 special abilities that they may use. all of which are AoE and do a very large amount of damage.
    full

    • Missile volley
      • Visual queue: missiles fire upwards from AK-Prime's position and travel outward
      • What to do: run towards AK-Prime and stack on them
    • Explosion
      • Visual queue: red/orange/white waves pulse from AK-Prime (shown to the right)
      • What to do: run at least 30 meters away from AK-Prime
    • Fire spray
      • Visual queue: bright white cone from AK-Prime towards a player
      • What to do: this attack is instantaneous and requires the group to spread apart while fighting AK-Prime
It is recommended to spend majority of the fight on top of AK-Prime, since they will not use the 65 meter cone fire spray ability if all players are stacked on top of AK-Prime. This way, your group only really needs to worry about the other two abilities.
    • Missile volley - run in
    • Explosion - run out
Once your group has defeated AK-Prime, you can continue down the trail to the next encounter.

Boss 3: Forward Commander Mk II

For the third encounter, you will see Forward Commander Mk II and 15 HK-77 assault droids in front of them. Forward Commander Mk II will not be attackable until after you destroy all 15 HK-77 assault droids.

This fight is rather simple and doesn't have any special abilities to worry about like the previous encounter. Once all 15 HK-77 assault droids are destroyed, you will start fighting Forward Commander Mk II. While your group is fighting Forward Commander Mk II, the HK-77 assault droids will resurrect one by one as Risen Commanders and will start to attack your group. The Risen Commanders are slightly stronger than the HK-77 assault droids, but not be a very large margin.

It is recommended to just concentrate on Forward Commander Mk II and, once they have been defeated, your group should shift focus to the Risen Commanders.

Once your group has defeated Forward Commander Mk II and all of the Risen Commanders, you can continue down the trail to the next encounter.

    Boss 4: CY-M Prototype

For the fourth encounter, you will see CY-M Prototype all by himself. As soon as you start the fight, 8 Enthralled Kubaza Beetles will spawn and start attacking your group.

This fight is also pretty simple. You will need to fight CY-M Prototype, the 8 Enthralled Kubaza Beetles, and deal with a poison DoT (damage over time) effect placed on the group, which will grow in strength over time, at the same time.

It is recommended to just concentrate on CY-M Prototype and, once they have been defeated, your group should shift focus to the Enthralled Kubaza Beetles.
    • Do not kill the Enthralled Kubaza Beetles all at once
      • When an Enthralled Kubaza Beetle is killed, their corpse will explode and do a large amount of damage to the group
      • Kill one, take the damage, heal the group up, repeat
Once your group has defeated CY-M Prototype and all of the Enthralled Kubaza Beetles, you can continue down the trail to the next encounter.

    Boss 5: GK Oppressor

For the fifth encounter, you will see GK Oppressor. After a few seconds of fighting GK Oppressor, they will spawn 6 GK-14 Defender droids that will attack your group. A few minutes later, they will spawn 6 GK-18 Sentinel droids which will also attack your group.

This fight can be a little difficult, because your group will have a lot of additional NPCs to deal with, while also dealing with very potent debuffs. The GK-14 Defender droids will also purge your buffs.

    • Vacuity
      • Modify mind regeneration by -80.00%
    • Wavering
      • Modify movement speed (slowed by a percentage)
It is recommended to pull GK Oppressor to the larger area further down the trail and fight them there. Your group should concentrate on defeating GK Oppressor, but also knocking down the GK-14 Defender droids.

Once your group has defeated GK Oppressor, you can continue down the trail to the final encounter.

    Boss 6: HK-47

For the final encounter, you will see HK-47 and two groups of 5 HK-77 assault droids and 2 HK-77 squad leaders on either side. HK-47 has all of the abilities of the previous bosses in this instance, plus a few of their own.

To start the encounter, defeat both groups of the HK-77 assault and squad leader droids. Once both groups are destroyed, HK-47 will become attackable.

    HK-47 will:
    • Spawn the same SK-21 support droids from the HK-Taskmaster encounter
    • Use the same special abilities from the AK-Prime encounter
    • Spawn the same beetles from the CY-M Prototype encounter
    • Have the same debuff abilities and spawns GK-14 Defenders from the GK Oppressor encounter
It is recommended to concentrate on destroying the SK-21 support droids, then the GK-14 Defender droids, and only then focusing on HK-47.

As soon as you defeat HK-47, you will receive a quest update.
    • You can use the YT-2400 to exit the instance. (You may also just do /eject)
      • After 5 minutes, you will be automatically removed from the instance

Go back to the Mining Facility and speak to Milo Mensix. He will tell you that you have a message.
    /way Mustafar 147 130 Milo Mensix;

Go to the Mining Communication Console, which is in the same room as Milo Mensix, and interact with it. You will receive a message from HK-47 and an HK-47 Hologram. This concludes the Champion of Mustafar questline.
