Description:
Find Griffax Jin and the unmutated sample, then get out of this place
Recommended combat level: 80 with a group
Trace Communication
Use the command console to find out where that communication came from.
You should still be near the Command Console from the previous quest, if not make your way to it.

Click on the command console, then click on
Internal Communications Log, then
Comms Received, then
Experimental Laboratory 2, Level 3, then
Get Waypoint.
You will receive a new waypoint in your datapad and the quest will update.
Speak with Doctor Jin
Locate and speak with Doctor Jin.
Recommend brining a few friends for this part of the quest.
Make your way towards Dr. Griffax Jin, who will be a short walk away.

Once you make it to him, speak with him.
- Careful! After your conversation he attacks you!
- Dr. Griffax Jin is a CL100 Elite
Dr. Griffax Jin: (Cough)
You: Doctor Jin, I have to get you out of here.
Dr. Griffax Jin: I...I'm fine. Who are you?
You: I'm here to evacuate you.
Dr. Griffax Jin: The virus...has it escaped the facility?
You: The virus has escaped the facility and ravaged a good portion of Dathomir.
Dr. Griffax Jin: Oh no...We have got to destroy the facility. (Cough)
You: Perhaps, but not until you are evacuated and the unmutated Blackwing sample are safe.
Dr. Griffax Jin: (Cough) How...how do you know about the sample?
You: I've been sent by Vader to collect the sample.
Dr. Griffax Jin: It is too dangerous. So many lives lost...only to come back. I'm (Cough) not going to let you have it! Oh no....noooo....Ack!
After your conversation, Dr. Griffax Jin attacks you and the quest updates.
Defeat Doctor Jin
Defeat Doctor Jin.
You will need to fight and kill Dr. Griffax Jin.
- He hits for 2.2k-2.6k damage per attack
- He does not deathblow
- If he incapacitates you, he will run away and you will to wait a few minutes for him to respawn and you can try again
- If you do happen to get deathblown, you can just return to the waypoint in the previous step
When you kill Dr. Griffax Jin, you will get a comm-message from Dr. Nomi Rhane and the quest updates.
Dr. Nomi Rhane: Comm-message - Hello? Are you still alive? We've barricaded ourselves in the maintenance room. There is an escape ladder here but the hatch is magnetically sealed. Any advice?
Command Console
Go back to the command console and see if you can unlock the escape hatch.
Return to the Command Console on the lower level.
/way dathomir -7344 505 -7534 Command Console, Lower Level;
Click on the command console, then click on
Facility Emergency Escape Hatches, then
Unlock Hatch.
You will get another comm-message from Dr. Nomi Rhane and the quest updates.
Dr. Nomi Rhane: Comm-message - That did it! You saved us...now make your way to us so we can get out of here.
Meet the Survivors
Find and speak to Doctor Nomi Rhane and help with the evacuation.
You will be given a waypoint to the location where Dr. Nomi Rhange has barricaded herself. You will go throw tunnels with multiple CL80 and CL85 NPCs
Once you arrive to Dr. Nomi Rhane's location, speak with her.
Dr. Nomi Rhane: It is finally good to see you in person, and in one piece. My name is Doctor Nomi Rhane, good to meet you, [Player's name].
You: Lets get out of here Doctor.
Dr. Nomi Rhane: We'll follow your lead. I have never used this escape ladder but it should take us to the surface right around the entrance of the research facility.
You: Uh....that isn't exactly a safe location.
Dr. Nomi Rhane: Any advice on what we should do? We can't stay here and wait it out.
You: There is a small camp of survivors near the entrance.
Dr. Nomi Rhane: We'll have to make a run for it then. Cover us if you can. You've done so much for us already, [Player's name], but I really do not want to become one of them.
You: I'll do my best, run for the starport area.
Dr. Nomi Rhane: Will do. Open the hatch when you are ready.
After your conversation, you will get a comm-message from your faction's quest-giver and the next quest.
Captain Piett: Comm-message - You've done all you can there. Get out while you still can!
Han Solo: Comm-message - You've done all you can there. Get out while you still can!
Guri: Comm-message - You have the virus now get out while you still can.
