Multiple Account Policies

Last Updated: January 23, 2025

This policy applies to you if…

Either one OR the other of the following is TRUE:
  1. More than one person will be playing from the same house (connected to the same internet connection); OR

  2. More than one person will use the same physical computer (laptop or desktop) to play. For example, by signing out of the launcher for one account and into another (even if the computer is connected to a different internet connection).
EXCEPTION: Temporary instances where two or more accounts may play from the same location (e.g., visting family or LAN parties) can be approved in advance with a temporary exception by contacting Community Support.

Approval for Multiple Accounts

You do not need approval for multiple accounts. You can simply register existing accounts as you normally would. However, you will be prompted to participate in Identity Verification at some point in the future.

Special Rules for Multiple Accounts

  • A maximum of six accounts can be known to play (registered or logging in at) from the same physical location based on the network IP address. The system will automatically deny access to additional accounts beyond six based on the order of registrations, allowing the oldest first.
  • We do not allow the use of Virtual Private Networks (VPNs) to connect to our services.
  • Households collectively share the obligation to adhere to our Community Standards. If any single account in the exemption is banned, all accounts under the exemption will be banned for the same duration.

Identity Verification

If you connect more than one account to the game from the same IP Address, or we otherwise notice suspicious activity on your account(s), we may require Secondary Identity Verification, where you are required to submit your government identity and verify an actual live photo of yourself through a third-party service. More information is provided about this process only if your account is locked for this verification.

Opting Out of Identity Verification

You can contact Community Support and indicate that you do not wish to participate in Identity Verification. If you opt not to participate in Identity Verification, your primary account (generally the oldest, unless you indicate otherwise) will be unlocked and you can continue to play, but any additional accounts registered under your household will be terminated.

More Information about Identity Verification and Other Questions

We provide more information about our identity verification process and system if your account is subject to verification. Otherwise, if you have any questions, you can contact Community Support.
