Proposal
Make it so Jedi eject LD when they log out in a Heroic. The world shouldn't be safe for them. For instance, I murdered a LD Jedi today who logged out on Mustafar. Why should Heroics be any different?
Justification
Too many safe spots in the game with all these Heroics.
Motivation
There are already many unfair additions to this server to help coddle Jedi. Heroics need revamping anyway. This is a good first step.
Latest fashion is Jedi logging out at the end of a Heroic instead of ejecting, then hopping on an alt. Spirit of SWG should be fight, run, or die. Not log out. If you log out in the game world, especially risking your life running end-game content, you should be defenseless and ready to die.

Ok but what about the others in there with them that are also on the boards? How exactly would it be accomplished to know if they had 0 before going in....you see....rabbit hole and very complicated issue if you don't think this through.

As for "feature of the game" you mean kinda like the Frosch bunker and the BH bounty check?
The suggestion I made is merely an idea. How it is implemented is up to the developers and everyone else in charge.

>As for "feature of the game" you mean kinda like the Frosch bunker and the BH bounty check?
Yes, actually. ;)

You also skipped the part of the vis system and it is working if they are in there. But gotta give yu credit you are like a dog on a bone with this even if you are ignoring everyone else :)

As of 20260606 logging out at the end of a heroic is currently a feature of the server. I can start reporting people for doing it, but I can hardly fault Jedi for utilizing a mechanic that is in the game, and pretty widespread at that. See the second or third post on this suggestion, where someone says people have been doing it for ages.
Yeah, start reporting it. If the support staff feel it's not against the rules, they'll let you know and you got your answer. You don't see serial killers petition the local government for people to leave their doors unlocked cause it's getting too hard to murder people nowadays, they'll keep moving to another house until they find a door that's unlocked... I suggest you keep looking for new bounties that aren't hiding. As it's been said before, by essentially locking the jedi in the instance, you've disabled their fun...

Also maybe focus on adding to the conversation Aconite started with a suggestion to this issue which would focus on the jedi/bh interaction and not shaft every other player that DCs in a dungeon.

Visibility is an okay system, but this isn't really about that. It has flaws and to me it actually inhibits the Jedi-BH relationship. But fixing it would be going down another rabbit hole. I wish Jedi were more encouraged to play out in the open, but there is very few incentives on the server currently for them to venture out in the wild. I should say that since the population went up, random Jedi encounters in the wild have really gone up, which is appreciated.

Not a developer, but they should be able to fine tune ejection to JD characters specific down to how much visibility they have, how high their bounty is, etc. It wouldn't affect everyone.

Ok now we are getting there. Inquisitors are coming and changes are coming so we will have to have some patience to see what that brings about. The vis system is not meant to create BH content it is meant to keep Jedi hidden and be the stick if they get to much vis. Also why just Jedi? Others end up on the board and can do the same thing but you just said only Jedi? Seems a tad skewed. If it is wrong it is wrong for all correct?

I don't hunt normies much at all so I can hardly speak on it. Most PVP on the server lately is theme park stuff. I would like a return to sandbox elements or at least a nod to them whenever possible.

Let me fix this for you ----- Most PVP on the server, to me, lately is theme park stuff.......

Well... I do know that most of the bounty board is in a Flashpoint at any given moment. That is theme park. What else would you call a uhh... curated game experience? But anyway... I have to go now. See you later.

Again you are making suggestions that impact more than just Padawans and there is pvp going on with the whole GCW, FP, BF, etc. Trying to force "sandbox" elements more is just your subjective view and not really a reason to go off down a rabbit hole without at least trying to know how much and who all it impacts. Unintended consequences ruin games because of impulse reactions and not knowing and being able to speak about it. It is really why they tried in the past to get people to talk to a Senator before posting pv's.

I was told after making this suggestion that a Senator is already looking at changing how it works. I did say that on page 1 I think!

Well I will leave you with what Aconite already said. I would focus on that as it sounds interesting and like it would help head the way you are hoping:

I don't see why we couldn't create an object that allows you to monitor a specific area for a specific Jedi and gives you a ping/sound, so you could be alt tabbed on another character doing something else while waiting for a Jedi if you think they're going to eventually show up at a specific place. That's more realistic to the actual circumstances and appropriate for the lore and dynamics of Jedi being hunted.

That is different than tossing your idea to them and hashing it out to avoid all this mess. Read what Aconite said and think about that.

The more I read about the arguments here, the more I wish I could downvote a second time. Something that happens extremely rarely (and not something I, or any of my guildies seem to have run into, OR anyone in the grouping groups I am in have done) shouldn't be a reason to punish every player on the server. An interesting thought has been raised and wasn't addressed until multiple people kept telling you it was mentioned.

It really just sounds like being angry because of one very specific moment that might not even have been that players fault to begin with.
I don't like being penalized for things I have no control over and am not responsible for doing. Being ejected from... say Hoth, and then being ghosted, because my game crashed mid-fight? And don't say this doesn't happen, because it happens. I had people go LD on Mustafar while being in the party-bus and then the frantic run to get the bus to non-lava-land so they don't die when they fall out. I had people go LD during HK, and during Tusken King. Once during the Star Destroyer. All due to a client crash. Should these people just get ghosted if theyw ere a Jedi because of a client crash?

As I said before. huge "Nope" from me.

Down vote, just because you waited outside doesn’t mean I have to come out and play. I definitely don’t have time for a 20-30 minute fight with a CH after a few hours of heroics so kick me and ghost me because someone waited outside…sounds like coddling a BH and his feelings.

Nope. The idea behind this entire suggestion feel more personal based on one bad session or pure dislike for the jedi in general, which most likely is merely misunderstanding, not done by ill intent by the jedi. As mentioned above, this would just punish people who have no control over the situation, such as sudden crash and if this actually was made a thing, it would be no fair that it only apply those who play a jedi, not "normies" like smugglers as you refer them.

Due to the massive Jedi hate and the fact they get nerfed regularly when they are supposed to be an alpha class. Not saying they should go around swinging their glow bats all the time and be seen because we know they are supposed to be hiding I am gonna downvote also. A class should never be fodder for another classes entertainment. If you want to be a BH that's great. I play one also but not gonna look to disrupt someone else's enjoyment in game. Takes a ton of work to get Jedi then become full template and I feel for them because while trying to get the xp to get the skills they are always having to watch around them. NPC's rando spawning around them and causing vis etc. . Yes they chose to play it but the penalties are outrageous and the fact they can be ripped from their private residence making it no longer safe and the fact they are the only ones suffering XP and skill losses upon death make it so I don't even want to hunt them. I actually pity them. So when you scream about stuff like this it tells me your whole point of goin BH is to basically hunt Jedi even though there are many NPC's of great value on the terminals. Sounds kinda like they are being trolled. Not my gig. Here to meet people, build alliances, have fun hunting not cause anyone grief. So again gonna downvote and think we need to look at other things that are causing an imbalance like people using a jedi/bh hybrid. Not cool.

Im down voting too, but I strongly disagree with that entire rant.

You cant on one hand say " Jedi were meant to be alpha class" while at the same time bemoaning the risks.

1.) The risks are nothing compared to what the class use to face. Permanent force ghost use to happen on the third death. That was the reason behind the gift of an extra character slot. Now if Jedi die they lose XP and time. Big deal.
2.) The fact that 20 years later we are still dealing with "Jedi should be the most powerful class in game, but with little risk" is proof that alpha classes don't work in an MMO.
3.) There are no NPCs on the terminals worth as much as a player bounty. If there was, player bounty hunters would be all over them.
4.) Don't be so melodramatic. No one hates Jedi. The majority of responses to the suggestion has been no for all the reasons stated.
5.) The is nothing wrong with a Jedi/BH hybrid. You just hate it because it evens the odds.

Per Aconite's above reply, we will explore options for better monitoring, but we will not be adjusting the logout behavior in instances. Logging out in an instance is not considered an exploit.
