    Dancer Profession Overview​

    In Star Wars Galaxies Restoration, the Dancer profession is a performance and support profession.

    Dancers may inspire their audience members. When players watch a dancer perform, the dancer may offer an inspiration buff at any time, though most players prefer the full buff timer. Full buff timers can be achieved in cantinas, hotels, private homes, certain GCW areas and camps with an Entertainment Module. All Entertainers have the Inspiration ability, but can apply it more quickly with more skill and special equipment. Watching entertainers also grants rested bonus.

    Experience and skill are earned by dancing with flourishes and inspiring others who watch your performance.

    Special Note: If you have a visual glitch where you should be performing, but are standing still, /sit then /stand to clear.

    Where to Start​

    • Two columns from Entertainer: Dancing iV and Entertainer Item Use IV (xx44 Entertainer) are required.
    • Find a Dancer trainer in a Theater or Player City to learn Novice Dancer. To gain experience you will need to dance and perform flourishes (every 5-10 seconds is fastest). While it is not necessary to have an audience, having players /watch does speed experience gain. Mos Eisley Cantina on Tatooine usually has other entertainers willing to group up and train you (only Novice boxes require NPC Trainer).
    • Once you start dancing, apply an Inspiration Experience buff (Utility: Flush with Success) to yourself or ask a master for a stronger buff.
    • For credits while gaining experience, consider picking up Dance missions from a nearby Entertainer Mission Terminal.

    Helpful Commands​

    List of commands which can be plugged into macros or typed.

    /groupdanceToggle on/off affect of other dancers in your group start/stop commands on you
    /stopDance OR /stop CAUTION DO NOT USE IN GROUPSStops you AND YOUR GROUP from performing *use with caution!*
    /getinspirationCheck the existing Inspiration Buff of your target player.
    /splitcWhen grouped with other entertainers, this is best way to split tips. Type /splitc <full amount of tip> to evenly divide your tip with the group.
    /registerAnnounces on the Planetary Map that live entertainer is present at your location by changing the icon from a crescent moon to a sun. When exiting facility, you will automatically be unregistered. (gained at Novice Dancer)
    /flourish 1 (substitute 1 through 9)Executes one of 9 flourishes from Novice Entertainer
    /dump OR /dumpPausedCommandsPauses all your macros
    CTRL + Shift + GDisplays status of macro dump timer.
    **When building macros, use whitelist commands to avoid macros being dumped by the server. Hover over the macro once on your hotbar to see "Macro: dump _ Will Trigger Macro Timer: No/Yes" **
